  Excellent italian way of life... what do you need more?

  Very kind and helpful management/personnel, everything very cleanly, many restaurants, some shops and a "mercato" into foot proximity. Rooms with direct sea view are located at the coastal street with a breathtaking look at the sea and the beach. Molte grazie per la direzione e soprattutto Gian Franco!

  Superb hotel

  We stayed for two weeks in September.Our room had a huge balcony looking out over the beach.The guy who runs the hotel , GianFranco , was attentive to all our needs, always friendly and smiling. This hotel has two stars , it deserves three and a half. we checked out leaving a wallet with our passports , many euros , flight information , everything in the room safe . Discovered this at Rome airport. The San Carlo's owners son drove to the airport immediately , he arrived five minutes after check-in shut. He gave me the wallet and was about to get back into his car with no reward for his four hour round trip. This is a great hotel.

  Great small and friendly hotel right on a lovely beach

  This is a delightful small hotel with around 10 rooms. It is right on the waterfront with a rod between the hotel and the beach. The rooms are plain and very clean - spacious with air conditioning. We had a great room on the second floor overlooking the beach - superb views. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had free car parking. The breakfasts is good - fresh pastries and fruit as well as other bits and pieces. It was lovely to have excellent coffee from their excellent machine. A tip for lunch - walk to the Conad and buy fresh bread rolls, prosciutto and cheese and bring them back to eat on the shade of the hotel terrace. You can bring your own drinks and just watch the world go by. There is a fridge in the room. Some reviews were critical of the fact you are not permitted to eat in the room - you don't need to! Enjoy the lovely wooden terrace in the shade of the trees. It is a 40 minute walk into town - along a lovely promenade. We tried to use the free bus but on three occasions ended up being dumped out at the wrong end of the beach at the end of the drivers shift! I would highly recommend this lovely small and friendly hotel.

  Excellent small hotel

  We've just left the hotel after 2 separate stays. Once on our own and the other, with our daughter and grandson. The hotel is clean and safe. Breakfast is included and includes a good mix of items. It's not a full North American style breakfast but there are boiled eggs, sometimes yogurt, pastries, bread for toasting on the panini press, excellent cappuccino or an americano. The hotel is located across the road from the beach, the terrace is great for an afternoon break or morning breakfast. Gianfranco keeps wine in the fridge which is available for purchase - makes a nice way to while away the hottest part of the day. Don't be concerned about there being no parking on the property. There is always inexpensive street parking, often directly in front of the hotel. My only complaint is that the pillows are kind of skinny but it's easy enough to double them up. The air conditioning works well and the location can't be beat! It's not a 5 star property but for location and services/amenities provided at the price point, this little hotel can't be beaten.

  I will return to Terracina and to H. San Carlo

  Small, nice, clean, comfortable hotel; the owner is always trying to make you feel even better, and he personally serves the breakfast, which is good and the coffee is great. There is not elevator, so Giancarlo help us with the luggage. You just need to cross the street to get to the sandy beach, which is beautiful, long, and the water is clean. You have to pay for the lido (a special price for the hotels customers) and to park in the street (5 Euros per day).
