Its what you make of it....Me and my friend booked two weeks stay in the sandam hotel with our 3 kids upon arrival in the middle of the night we were very dissapointed with what we seen...looked very shabby and very basic rooms.Bathrooms need repair and a good clean...staff were amazing one in particular masut the bar manager.one of the guests took ill he did all he could to see they were ok and even went to the pharmacy to buy him tablets and wouldnt take the money for them..he also took us to a local bar and stayed with us all night and made sure we got home safely....one major problem was the drains around the pool were all damaged a few people and kids fell through them as the weeks went on but repair work was done on them when we were there.food well i thought was fantastic if ur not a fussy eater u will love it but if u are i wouldnt advise doing all inclusive...breakfast was traditional turkish...bread..cheese...meats...cucumber and toms..and a choice of hots cheesy bread...egg and chips...dinner was assortments of salads....soup...wedges or chips...hot meats and veg then tea was similar but more choice.snacks wernt good was cheese sandwich one day then a burger the next....but wait for it the cakes were to die for .The pool was cleaned every night...some things did discust me on this hol but it wasnt the hotel it was the guests that did it.There is no entertainment but if u meet the right ppl you make your own...me and my friend agreed the first morning we will just make the most of it and we did your room is just a base your never in it but it did get cleaned daily...and ppl dont have the same standards as ourselfs but thats there way of living...i can honestly say i did enjoy my stay at the sandam and we met some amazing people

Samdan HotelWe read all the bad reviews on here before we went, so we were prepared for the worst, but it was not as bad as the expectation set. Food was very good and plenty of choice, Several hot dishes, and salad and things too. It made me ashamed to be English when I heard another guest swearing and shouting because there were not always chips on offer! Music was a bit loud at bed time and shower could have done with regrouting, but this Hotel has a huge potential! lovely location away from the madding crowd, lovely pool, it just needs refurbishing.

Brilliant Holiday! Most reviews were terrible and worrying, however once we arrived (1am) we were greeted with drinks and food. Rooms were simple, comfy, clean- what you pay for! Food was tasty, fresh but repetitive although we were there for 2 weeks. Staff were lovely, helpful and went the extra mile (eg: making cocktails for free) If you have kids go to the water park about 45 mins drive!! Amazing holiday! x

I didn't find any problem!I went here 2 years ago and I didn't find any problems with the hotel.. you get what you pay for.. The staff greeted us on arrival! My friend fell down the steps drunk an they couldn't do enough to help! I went into town one night and on returning had trouble with a cab driver the receptionist sorted it all and even offered to pay the taxi man for us! Don't listen to bad reviews just go there and see for yourself :)

Only overnight stay but very nice indeedUnfortunately we only had an overnight and day stay at the Samdan before being advised by the owner he was shutting the hotel early and he was moving us. In the end we arranged for our tour operator to relocate us. However, our hotel room at the Samdan was unusual in that it was almost like an apartment, the furniture consisted of a number of mismatched antique pieces but we liked it as it was very quirky. It had 2 enormous bedrooms, with 3 beds in total which were all made up. The bathroom/shower was adequate though smelt a bit damp/mouldy but everything worked. Unfortunately one of the bedrooms did not have curtains, so my mate and I shared the massive king/queen bed, which was very comfy indeed. On arrival, at around 1am, we had a very welcome drink down at the bar before sleeps. In the morning, we had a look about in the daylight, the hotel was set in very pretty grounds and we could see that the pool was clean. The breakfast was plentiful with a large variety of cereals/bread/cheese and salad. Coffee was delish. The Marina is only a short walk away and is full of boats, shops and restaurants/cafes and supermarket. Again, lots of variety for lunch, various salads, bread and the fish was great. As were the Turkish cakes for afters! Loads of sunbeds, but probably because a lot of people had already been moved on. Had a dip in the pool which was lovely, and as I said clean. The staff were very attentive, cleared tables promptly and refreshed our coffees for us. It is a shame that our stay was not longer as we think we would have enjoyed ourselves and we did not get the chance to go to Yalikavak itself, which we understood to be a really pretty place. Would definitely try it again.
