  Muy bueno para descansar

  WI FI muy malo, spa limpio y buen servicio, recepción casi inexistente, desayuno escaso, habitaciones limpias dotación normal, situación del hotel muy bueno para descanso, decoración muy bonita estiló arabe

  Nice rooms, but we probably visited at the wrong time

  I think we visited this hotel at the wrong time (end of july). The hotel was almost empty, which meant that some things weren't as usual: no breakfast-buffet, but breakfast (no buffet) in the lobby; the swimming pool was not in use, because of maintenance; we didn't feel comfortable going to the restaurant, because there was no one else there. There was a lot of staff (and they seemed very busy), but we didn't see many other guests. This gave the hotel a bit of a weird feel. However, our room was very nice and the staff was friendly. The location is very convenient to go to Medeu and the mountains beyond Medeu. I feel that if we had visited the hotel at a different (more busy) time, our impression would have been quite different, more positive. I would recommend this hotel anyway, because of the location. If you're going for the spa at the wrong time of year, you might be disappointed though.

  Good

  This hotel is good. Comfortable rooms, SPA and close to Medeu(about 1 kilometre). I stayed there 4 nights and travel into the mountanis every morning. There is a friendly stuff inthe SPA. However only one English TV channel and pork meat on the breakfast. I asked administration to exclude pork from swedish table several times. Unforunately my requests were not heard. It was a blot on the landscape.

  Best bang for the buck

  This hotel is in the smaller Almaty gorge, closer to the skating rink Medeu than to Almaty. Clean air, nice surroundings and a lot of hiking, if you wish. The amenities are excellent. There is an indoor pool with a steam room and sauna. We paid $105 a day. In more crowded tourist places you can't have something like this for less than $200-$300. The restaurant on the fifth floor has a poor menu. Go straight to the neighboring Samal restaurant (the owner is the same). Both restaurants have canaries singing all the time. The prices are on the high side. Two meals for two can easily cost you a stay at the hotel.

  Very professional massage, a beautiful swimming pool, sauna and steam room

  Cleanest 4+ star room with a variety of Kazak, Uzbek, and Asian food with a beautiful atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable and had warm duvets. The dinning room is located on mountain road which is about 5 min. to ski hill and 5 min. to downtown Almaty. In addition, the spa offers a variety of treatments and has 2 saunas and a swimming pool. Highly recommend the massages!
