Amazing honeymoonWe booked the honeymoon tent when we found out we couldn't do an overseas honeymoon, and we were not disappointed! Its a magical place in the world, the staff are brilliant - enthusiastic, knowledgeable and so keen to make sure the guests had a great stay, nothing was too hard. The food and drinks were amazing, the activities perfectly timed and fun, and not having any reception was one of the best parts. Having to leave felt like an eviction back to the real world! Would 100% recommend this place again and again...

Great experience and location - a few traps to avoidThis place was a fantastic location and set up amazingly. Some of the best reefs on Ningaloo right at the site can be snorkeled a mid and high tide. Very comfortable glamping tents and beds and food and service of the team fantastic. Unless you just plan to stay at the one location recommend you hire a 4WD or AWD car as there multiple places to explore within a short driving distance and most the best to see more than once for a different time and tide effects. They have heaps of snorkeling gear and wet suits available so you don't need to take your own. The Ningaloo coast can get pretty windy so don't expect dead calm tropical seas - the first few days we were there in October we had to find wind secluded spots. I would caution against booking tours out to see the mega-fauna as some of these are not that ethical and will take you out even if it's too rough and a day puking over the side of a boat may spoil your experience. I would recommend you just book a day when you know the seas calm otherwise there is plenty to do and see from land. The tour mob we booked (through Sal Salis) refused to provide a refund when we elected not to go out on a rough day - this was the only disappointment and annoyance that distracted from out other great stay.

Holiday breakWonderful place to be, excellent staff, so willing to engage with you & 5 star friendly service , nothing is too much trouble for them. The happy casual atmosphere they create coupled with 5 star service & the best food ever , made our stay just perfect. Tents are very comfortable & every need is catered for . Snorkelling, walking, kayaking, seeing the turtles & reef life is something you dont get in one place like you do at Sal Salis . Def give them 10 stars & will be back for more .

Magical Birthday tripMy husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in early October. It was my birthday on the 9th and we wanted to do something special to celebrate. We had never been campers but this was glamping something a bit different so we were understandably slightly apprehensive. However, we neednt have feared, the tent was fantastic, very clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. The bathroom was all ecological, the eco toilet was very clean and we never experienced any sort of odour from it. We could also get a hot shower. Cold water only from the tap over the bathroom sink, which had to be pumped from the tap, but that was fine. The tent was very close to the beach so we could hear the sea all the time and felt very close to nature. The site itself was very comfortable and stylish with a great communal dining area and an excellent choice of first class meals together with an open bar. We met some amazing people and shared our experiences over meals which were taken together at the communal dining table. Lots of banter, laughter and a little serious conversation, a heady mix! We tried kayaking (fantastic), went snorkelling, visited some fabulous beaches and saw some breathtaking scenery on a long walk. The staff were absolutely brilliant! Nick in particular made my birthday very special and Cam, Zac, Emily, Andre + the chefs were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They are such a welcoming and accommodating team. Weather was surprisingly hot for October and the starry skies at night were a sight to behold. We were also lucky enough to see the turtles mating and venturing onto the beach. This was a truly magical and special vacation and we will cherish the memories of this trip for a long time to come. Our thanks go to all the staff who looked after us so attentively and really made our holiday. Highly recommended!

Magnificent locationAn ideal place to unwind and relax. Its away from all the hustle and bustle of Exmouth. The meals were five star quality and the chef catered to all dietary requirements. The tent is well equipped with environmentally friendly products. Cameron was a delightful, helpful and kind staff member and I would not hesitate in returning because he made the stay so much more enjoyable. He went swimming with guests and assisted a guest who became overwhelmed while snorkelling. He always worked with a genuine smile and was always neatly presented. Improvements needed The drop toilet was ok but extra sawdust for guests to use would possibly eliminate the number of flies. A mosquito net as such for over the beds would be ideal as the flies buzzing around your face in the morning is not pleasant. Dispose of chipped crockery, a turn off for a luxurious establishment. Staff to wash and wear clean uniforms regularly. One staff members shorts were appalling and the wearing of bed socks with open footwear was not what I would think an establishment of this calibre should be accepting of its staff members. The only con I feel was the guests who felt compelled to compete with each other of their social status. Relax guests youre on holidays and theres no need for such behaviour.
