We stayed with my parents and our 2 year old son. The rooms were OK, comfortable. Although things such as the towels in the bathroom looked as though they had been in use for 20 years. The hotel lacked atmosphere and the restaurant was truly awful. I ordered a pork dish and I struggled to find any edible meat. Stick to fried rice. The main reason for going was to see the National Park just up the road and that was excellent. Saw lots of monkeys and deer. Alas no tigers.

    Great service, but...

First impression of this hotel was that for the price we paid ($45), we were getting a GREAT deal! The grounds were beautiful, they let us check in very early with no problem, everything seemed very quiet, serene, and orderly. We were happy with our room, the hotel food was good (we ate Thai food) and reasonably priced, and the service in every aspect was fantastic. After we put our things in the room, we even met someone on the grounds who asked what else we needed. We asked for another sheet and pillow and it was in our room when we returned. The playground was great for the kids,(although VERY weathered and worn, like a lot of things here), and they loved the rabbits and peacocks on the grounds. So, here's the "but" part. I want to say it was the best hotel ever, but honestly, we found a dead cockroach in our bathroom when we first went in. That was a little much for me. That night after a full day in Khao Yai, we found a LIVE cockroach on our draperies. And, this is Thailand, so it is HUGE! Plus, there wasn't any hot water. We probably could have asked for this to be fixed, but as we were only staying one night, we didn't bother. Also, the pool area was not what I was hoping for. The water wasn't very clean, and everything looked like it hadn't been cleaned or used in months. If they took care of it, it would be fabulous! Overall, this was a good experience, not perfect, but for what we paid for four of us to stay, we felt fine about it.

    Better value elsewhere

The first disagreement was them requiring my Thai wifes I.D. card held at the security gate. This can be a major identity theft security problem, we agreed the first night but absolutely refused afterwards. The reception is at the top of a steep stairway that is designed to impress perhaps but is not access friendly, even for fit younger people after a long car journey. Wheel chairs? Forget it. The bungalows are generally ok once you get passed the rotten wood occaisonally nailed together. The showers heads are mounted so high my wife had to stand on tip toe to reach them. The hand basin was lonely with no flat surface anywhere near to store anything, if you could see it and if you wanted to take a chance on whether there was any hot water available. None fitted to the hand basin . The bedroom floor had protruding nails just to make sure you were paying attention. A look in the service cabinet electrics made one wonder whether you should really have brought your own fire extinguisher.

    One night is enough

We stay in bungalow which need thoroughly maintenance. The water in the hotel swimming pool is so dirty. Breakfast is just fair in quality. Actually this hotel situated in a very good location , remote from the heavy traffic outside. The building and environment is well planed. But the management just ignore it due to low season.
