  The worst choice we have ever made

  We are a travelling family of 5. We decided to stay at Saint Konstantin's due to the internet photos we found at booking.com, which depict actually an other reality. Pool obviously not clean, with broken stairs, scruffy hotel constructed with poor workmanship from the very beginning make the stay of everybody (and not just families) a very bad experience. The worst part is how the personnel treats these issues. When we complained for the broken stairs and the broken toilet cover (one cannot criticise esthetic issues, such as the withering plants, the huge additional aircondition in the middle of the window pane and the soiled windows, while trying to deal with issues of safety!) they told us that they prefer to have happy clients rather than people who complain and they told us to leave the hotel.

  They demanded cash payment only on arrival, NO receipt just a hand written peace of paper, NOTE this is against the Greek law tax system, the must by law they must accept credit card, and or cash and must supply a receipt with letterhead with customer name and address, this is to prevent tax evasion.?????(cash only accepted)???? After our first night stay in this broken Accom we asked for a refund of remaining days and the owner(manageress) blatantly refused any refund what so ever .even though website add says that they will refund with a possible 30% deduction???? With that we've been forced to stay.They give us diferent apartmant.Same story. Those two apartments are in a very run down condition and most things are broken or in a no use condition, and no way in representation of there advertise of the accommodation.The management (manageress) abuse me and kept running down to my husband,which is appalling conduct to anyone.I hardly spoke with her first day and next morning she told me I do not have respect for there Holy day? (Does they have or know anything about mine?) There is no one around to ask for information if we need.Most of the time place look deserted and sad.Pool is dirty,no sun beds cusions... The shower head broken, (fixed) the hot plate knobs fall off, broken, the refrigerator shelving broken, only 2 pot one with hole, no kettle,no kitchen rug and no sponge for washing dishies. The floors,windows and refrigerator not cleaned (old bread found in refrigirator),handmarks on windows and wardrobe,toilet bowl and ctr. Cleanliness in general, filthy!!! the star rating should be 0 We are awaire that menageress will give us a long answer on our bad rewiev and probably blame us as she did with other guest complaines.That is ok.It is up to owners how they will run there hotel.We can't recommend them but we whish them luck in a future.

  A mixed bag

  Stegna is a good strategic location from which to explore Rhodes. Saint Konstantin: nice pool, although in two weeks I never saw anyone clean it and there are no cushions for the sun beds. The pool ladder has not been fixed. Rooms fine, cleaned every day by a hard-working young female immigrant employee, shower (in the bath as usual in Greece) fine, good water pressure, regular change of towels and linen, kitchen stuff minimal (no coffee maker), beds hard and a bit lumpy. One of us (with hip problems) was immediately given an extra top mattress after mentioning this problem to the owners. WiFi good. On arrival we were asked to cancel the Booking.com reservation, to avoid them having to pay the fee (it should also be noted that if you dont book officially through Booking.com, you cant place a review on its website) in exchange for free airco, and to pay for the entire stay in cash straight away. Other reviews also mention this ruse. (We were obliged to leave the airco on when we left our room for a couple of hours because it took several hours to cool the room to a bearable temperature, but this was probably unavoidable, due to the necessary position of the unit.) We were given a different room when we expressed concern that our balcony door didnt lock. We considered leaving after antisemitic comments by the owner's family, but they were otherwise friendly and very helpful. After some hesitation we decided to stay in spite of what we experienced as a rather shocking conversation. In general, the reviews on TripAdvisor give a more balanced impression of this rather run-down complex than those on Booking.com. We have visited Greece annually for many years, and we have had wonderful experiences with Greeks and most of the apartment complexes we have been to. The owners of this complex often respond to critical reviews on Booking.com with long, insulting rants, and we have little doubt that they would react to this one with a personal attack if we could post it on Booking.com. Thats a curious way to run a business, especially in the hospitality sector.

  A Beautiful Family Run Resort

  Gorgeous new marbel reception. Superb beach bar, great coffee and cocktails. Beautiful rooms, different categories. Big, dreamy swimming pool. Really lovely family, hard working who will do everything they can to please their guests. And on the beach! Perfect location!!!

  they told me to cancel my booking and pay in cash up front once they got my money they dissapeared the owners told me to go buy batteries for the remote for tv and air conditioning the room was very dusty and smelled like wet laundry ....i tried to speak with the owners wife but from far when she seen me walking towards her she decided to hide i think behind a bananna tree .when i tried to talk with her husband he told me he would be back in 5 minutes and never showed up again. the next day i seen her husband smooching with another girl on the beach
