Average due to very poor breakfast by Marco from ItalyI had been there for 2 days in April 2014. Nice hotel, very clean, with big rooms. I was in number 3, nice but with problems with WiFi, which I needed, being there for job. I had a good supper, with fish soup and sliced pork. The following morning, the surprise: very poor breakfast, everything a la carte (cheap in any case) but limited in choice. And if you aren't brave, don't try Thai breakfast! 34 a night, booking through my customer. Bye, Marco

Beautiful resort away from western touristsThe first night we were the only guests of this lovely resort, with very spacious 100% clean well kept bungalows and a lovely pool. The park-like garden is very well kept with some lovely furniture and the view at the seaside, just across the not too busy road towards the island Koh Talu is lovely and changes constantly with the weather (we were there during the rainy season). The kitchen is very good (best scrambled eggs and omelet) in Thailand with lots of fresh seafood on the menu, but for us, veggies they cooked off the menu some lovely vegetable curries (Masang Man: lovely and spicy and yellow: mild and rich). When you are here, don't forget to go snorkeling near Koh Talu (500 bath per person incl taxi and warm non-vegetarian lunch). Lovely stay, lovely quiet end of an action packed Thailand holiday.

Lovely resort in Bang SaphanWe recently arrived at Sailom Resort Bang Saphan with an open mind. First of all we were worried that the recent storms would have wreaked havoc with the place and secondly it took us ages to find. When we did finally arrive we realised that the resort itself was stunning. Lovely swimming pool, which overlooked the sea, there was a road in front of the resort but you don't see that. The villas we were given were great, very large and spotlessly clean. We overlooked the pool and could see the sea. Breakfast was fine, with a choice of English or Thai food. The staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The only downside to the resort was that it is isolated. There is one bar and restaurant opposite, very Thai, they don't speak English at all, but the food was good. Apart from that one, you need a car. My only gripe about the resort is that the slippers they provide have been used which puts me off, so take your own if you like to wear them

Beautiful, big and good value room in very quiet beach areaThey have different rooms, going from big bungalow, small bungalow (I think around 1500 baht), till (what they call) small room, but it's still a very spacious luxury double bed room for only 1000 baht. The room is very clean, looks quite new, and has a small balcony. It has all amenities you possibly need, from TV, hairdryer, water hot pot (apparently without coffee though)... till ear cotton buds and a bit of washing powder. It has also a decent shower (and very powerful if you mix warm with cold water). Breakfast seems 300 baht extra (2 pers.), but I didn't try it. The resort is located on a big compound with plenty of parking space. (The bungalows are next to their swimming pool, but also closer to the road, so could be just a bit noisier). It's not really conveniently located if you don't have your own transport. But on the other hand, if you are looking for a really quiet beach, this is it. The beach itself is rather narrow, but about no tourists, let alone Western tourists. As a consequence, there are only a few restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood (with probably not much English language skills.)
