Safita
Stayed at Cham Palace Safita over Easter this yearFirst let me start by saying that I'm from Safita, and due to tight quarters at relatives' houses and the relatively cheap cost of staying at the hotel, we jumped at the chance to have a place of our own to stay while we were there for two weeks in April, 2012. We baptised our son there and spent a wonderful Easter break there. I have to say, though I rated the hotel average because they don't have specific amenities that one would find in the states, it's still a nice place to stay. The staff is helpful, at any time you need them, the food has gotten much better with a new chef they've brought in. We held my son's baptism party here afterwards and it was beautiful! They did an amazing job with the cake and it was so much fun. The room was clean, sheets and towels were changed daily and the view was awesome from our room. We could see the mountains of Lebanon from our room! All in all, a good experience.

Great view to the sea. Maybe you feel alonehis is basically the only choice in Safita or decently close to the "Crack des Chevaliers", and this is probably the only reason to visit this hotel. Cham Safita was obviously built with good ideas but that probably was a long time ago.. when we visited the hotel was more or less empty, as was the restaurant, the business...

Its amazingI'm from Safita and i visit every summer, I go to the hotel to swim and they make great parties during summer time but the only small problem is that there food can be a little off sometime. Other than that its an amazing place and it is close to a road full of restaurants which is very popular for the people in Safita to socialize and eat with friends and family and enjoy your summer nights.

Great locationStayed here 6 weeks and plan on visiting again the end of this year sometime. Great views, service and staff. Great location and a very beautiful area of Syria where the locals are so friendly and helpful. Probably the best place to stay in that region of syria if you don't want to be amongst crowds or if you want to be the muggy heat. Its situated higher up so it doesn't get to hot and there is a wonderful breeze at night. Nearby hotels in tartous are more crowded and stuffy but some people prefer that. I love how one of the cleaning ladies came running after our tour bus to give me a forgotten bikini. Not many people would bother or care. Big thanks to her!! would definitely recommend this place!

UniqueI stayed here many years ago before the troubles in Syria and had forgotten about it until recently asked. As massive hotel with perhaps 50 staying when I was there (two tour groups). Basic but good sized rooms. I was in a twin with my sister and we couldn't get the heating to work (very cold in December) so we were moved to a double which wasn't ideal but I get the impression due to low numbers not all rooms were kept open. Amazing view of the Castle. Good facilities but to cold and windy for the pool. I recall having to going outside to get to the restaurant which served good food. Buffet breakfast was nice but if you were after the rush it was slim pickings.
