Could be so much better with so little extra effortVery friendly owner who speaks English. Nice location, but EVERYTHING SMALL (see photos). The room was tiny with the smallest beds I have ever seen, the plasma TV was 17 inch and too small to use from any sitting position, the bathroom so small you have to stand by or sit on the toilet while taking a shower, and even the bottled water and coffee making set were half size. Lastly, inside, the wifi signal was tiny, download speed 0.6 mbs and useless. Also - the room description was "River view", but the river was hidden behind a roof and trees. Better description would be "facing away from road 5 and looking towards the river (no-river view)" We rented fishing rods too. The hotel should rent from someone else. They were only 1 meter long, and the hooks were so old and rusty they broke. Lastly, I think there were only 2 other guests that night. It wouldn't have cost them anything to upgrade us to a bigger room, and have gotten a top review. Having said all that, it ws charming, clean and in a lovely location by the river.

Far from amenities and Non Halal approved hotelFamily manage hotel. Very far from amenities and feel haunted so be prepared for all your needs if you are cornered be in this area. Room is divided into ground and first floor. If you do have old folks ask for lower floor but you need to pay extra since they charge more for lower floor. Small dusty rooms/bathroom noisy AC blur tv channels which you cant even see anything and they will ask for deposit RM 50/room during check in. Any damage regardless its done by you or not they will deduct from deposit. So do take photo or call them if you see something is not right.Mosquito is your sleeping partner, lot of it since hotel is near to swamp and river. Construction going on next door you need to bear with the noise during day time. Not advisable for local family or groups since it is not halal approve hotel unless you want to take the risk. For the price you have another hotel at the front road that you could try.

"A GOOD PLACE TO SPEND THE WEEKEND"Me and my wife together with some relatives stay one night at the resort. The resort/hotel comprises of clusters of low rise building blocks nestled in the countryside next to the Muar River. We were allocated Unit K1 which is conveniently located between the Resort Reception and the Restaurant. The room at Unit K1 is simple and neat, air-con & TV working well and there is hot shower in the Bathroom/Toilet. The Resort Management conducts organised activities for the Eco Tour Package staying at the resort. Namely - DIY Otak for Tea Break, Muar River Firefly Cruise, Karaoke Session, Countryside Cycling and Team Games at the Tarzan Jungle Park at the Resort Compound. We had a fun filled stay the resort and find it a good place to spend the weekend.

Beautiful view of Muar RiverI stayed here one night with my mother. Room is rather small however its clean and just nice for two people. Staff are also friendly and the resort provides a spectacular view of the Muar River. Food was also good. We enjoyed otah making as well. Overall there is nothing much to do in the resort so do sign up for day tours like kampong cycling or night tours like the river cruise which will allow you to see Muar at night.
