    Good Experience in a Ryokan

If you are trying out a Ryokan for the first time, Kazuki could be a good start. The location is not too far from the subway and is very quiet. However, the room was not too impressive. It was quite dated (I feel it needs refurbishing). The size was comfortable (based Japanese standards), the heating was satisfactory and tatami was really comfortable. What I like most of this Ryokan are the 3 onsens. We tried every one at different times of the day. The dinner and breakfast were part of the package. They were nicely served and were very filling! However, I had the impression both meals would be served in the room but I was disappointed that they have specific halls for that. I guess I have to adjust my expectations. Would I go there again? Maybe not. I would give other onsens a try.

Good with a hot springs bonus

We had stayed in a Ryokan in the Gion area on a previous visit but this Ryokan is more centrally located. Most guests seemed Asian and though we tried both Japanese and Western breakfasts, even the western one was not what you would have expected. This is not a complaint as we'd rather have a more local experience. The man made hot spring baths were good but did not seem very well attended. As the bathroom in our room was so small we bathed in the hot springs each night as there was more room to move there. Our room did have a separate (wonderful) Japanese toilet. The futons were fine but when you get older bending down all the time can be a strain on the back and legs. There were no English channels that we could find on the TV. Internet was free and reliable. Front desk staff did not have good English and when we wanted to book a full day tour they would not do it for us. We walked to the nearby Hotel Monterey where the tour desk woman happily booked it for us.

    Modern ryokan in great location

This is multi story ryokan in a great location near a subway station. Kaiseki meal was excellent, I just wish there had been an English translation of what we were enjoying! The baths are separate for sexes but very comfortable and relaxing. Would highly recommend.

This is our first time in Japan and our first experience with the traditional Japanese hotel. This hotel is perfect for my family of 5 and the location is excellent! Its location is in close to limousine bus stop and 2 major metros stations. The staff is exceptionally great and friendly. There was one time when we couldnt make it back on time for dinner due to subway delays (Our stay includes dinner and breakfast), they made an exceptional accommodation to make us late dinner. We felt so warm hearted because we were really hungry. I thought The breakfast was okay but the dinners were delicious! Although the bathroom is bit small, but as long as I dont have to share bathroom with others, Im happy with it. The interior design of the room is old but with unique traditional Japanese accents that I love. I was worried that I wouldnt sleep well on tatami bed but surprisingly this hotel bedding is the most comfortable Ive been slept on compare to all other expensive hotels in Osaka. The price including breakfast+dinner is very reasonable. I will definitely stay here next time when I return to Japan. I Highly recommend this hotel!
