  Great location

  Our room was a superior king with ocean views and the view was spectacular. Overall the room was fine with the exception of the shower which has a definite design flaw - impossible to have a shower without drenching the bathroom floor. Location of the hotel is excellent - 2 minutes to the beach and lots of interesting restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay there again.

  Good location, average rooms

  We only used the hotel to sleep (after a wedding), so it served its purpose, although I am glad our stay was only short. Whilst the location and view were both great and the beds were comfortable, the rooms were very basic, very tired and lacked any form of ambience . Would stay elsewhere next time.

  Fine, for a short stay.

  We spent two days in a two bedroom ocean view. Rooms were clean, furniture in the lounge was a little uncomfortable and with only a microwave, cooking was minimal. The little bar fridge was inadequate for storing food and not very cold. Pillows were hard. But the hotel itself was fine and the staff very charming and helpful. Positioned well. We'd go back but not for more than a few days at a time. The pool and spa were okay, too. Noise-wise...the lorikeets make an enormous racket in the trees, at sundown and early morning, so keep the balcony doors closed if you want a sleep-in.

  Gorgeous view

  Stayed recently, and i'll definitely return. The staff were all lovely, and helpful. the room was very nice, clean and presentable. Comfy bed, the pillows were awesome, good shower. My only negative was i would have liked a milk frother for the coffee machine... haha. This has been the best hotel i've stayed in. Thanks Rydges Cronulla.

  Would definitely stay here again

  An easy three hour, toll-free drive from Canberra, we went away for a long weekend and spent Sunday and Monday at the Rydges Cronulla. We hadn't stayed in Cronulla before and with the hotels in the city of Sydney and Darling Harbour getting so expensive we decided to have the ocean, the restaurants and the views without the price tag. We stayed in a Superior King Ocean View room with parking for $438 for the two nights. We were on the tenth floor (there are eleven), but I think most floors would have a good view of the ocean. It was great! The bed was super comfy, the views were amazing and although the room was small, the bathroom was a good size with a hand-held shower and room to move. We swam in the pool each day - there is also a warm spa, and although the restaurant was shut because of COVID, there are so many places to eat just a stones throw away, it didn't matter. The hotel is positioned perfectly to take advantage of the view and the surrounding shops, cafes and restaurants. The local RSL has a courtesy bus too if you call them up to book it like we did it only cost $4 for the two of us for the return trip. Cronulla is fantastic - everything was in walking distance - the beach was so beautiful and all the people we encountered were genuinely helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back! The only suggestion I would make to Rydges is to put a full-length mirror in the room perhaps behind the door of the bathroom, but just somewhere you can walk up to for those who want to do their make-up or check out their appearance. The noise from the streets outside and the ocean is very loud, but I enjoyed the sound of the ocean and the hustle and bustle - it's not so bad once your balcony door is shut. Thank you to all the staff who were very good and went out of their way to assist and make our stay so great. I joined their loyalty programme to save on the booking and booked direct with the hotel.
