  Somewhere quiet with good access to everything

  Very spacious, good unit facilities although some things like the SD TV do need updating. Easy access to the coast, the theme parks, shopping or the hinterland. Very relaxing pool, sauna and spa area too.

  A good place to stay, especially for the location

  The location of Royal Woods is ideal, especially if you are attending an event at the nearby Carrara Indoor Sports Arena or stadium, and it is close to shops and a variety of food outlets/restaurants. The unit was spacious, and the grounds were nicely kept. The pool looked inviting, although the outdoor one was a little cold for our liking - the indoor pool was heated to a good temperature though. Parking was sufficient for guests who came to visit us one day. On the negative side, the sofa bed was awful, and terrible to sleep on. I ended up putting lounge cushions on the floor to sleep on the second night, as I couldn't face the sofa bed again. The room decor is quite dated, although still functional. There were some water marks on the ceiling that didn't give the best impression. My main issues were with the people renting the unit downstairs from us - slamming doors and talking loudly after midnight, and parking their small car on the side of the garage that would fit a bigger car (rather than the side with the washer/dryer), meaning I couldn't fit my car in. I ended up parking outside in a guest spot instead.

  Old and tired

  We stayed here recently and on first impressions it really needed a face lift. The furniture is tired and drab and in need of maintenance. We had guests next door that partied on to late and with no after hours reception security was called twice. They addressed the situation but only while they were there. It took myself to say something for them to stop. We spoke to staff the next morning and they said they would look into it. If you spend $170 a night in a resort you expect some sort of order specially when you boast about the quality you have to offer. Save your money and look elsewhere.

  Great Resort

  R/W is an absolutely great place, well managed, well maintained, safe. There is nothing bad that I could say about any of my many stays at R/W. If you are looking for a quiet holiday but close to all amenities this is the place for YOU!

  Spacious, great staff

  We stayed for a concert at Metricon stadium in a 2 bed villa. We got public transport there with a bus stop 5 mins walk away, then walked home (30 walk). We had 3 adults, with plenty of space, and with the self contained kitchen could cook dinner and breakfast. Would be perfect getaway for a family. Also very lovely and helpful staff! Wifi was a little slow and only allowed one device connected, but didnt worry us. But out of town if wanting to experience the Gold Coast, but also close to public transport. Would return.
