    Great Condo Location

We enjoyed a three night stay at the Royal Victoria Suites for a wedding. They gave us a location up the block to park our car and we didn't use it until the night of the wedding. Everything is within walking distance to the "Empress Hotel and Waterfront" to China Town. Will do this again.

    Disapointed this time

I am a VI owner this is the second time I have stayed here. Our first experience was wonderful and pleasurable. This is in a great location in downtown Victoria within walking distance to just about everything you need and want to see. This last weekend we went up there with another couple we stayed in room 203 which over looked the alley, needless to say there was a lot of drug activity, dumpster diving and homelessness in the alleyway which was very disturbing. People diving in dumpsters smoking crack shooting themselves up with needles it was quite an eye opener. The rooms/loft were hot and stuffy as there is no AC although fans are provided in each room but do not circulate the air very well. If you plan on going durring warmer weather season be aware that there is no AC. Our bed was so so. Not sure that I would stay here again which is very sad. Maybe if the businesses were to lock their dumpsters in the alley it would prevent this type of activity from happening anymore.

    Love the location

It is so central to the downtown, inner harbor area This is a not a hotel,it is a timeshare facility with no ameneties except a rooftop BBQ Rooms are suites with full kitchen and washer dryer I stayed this time on a hot day and the rooms are hot & stuffy with no air con and even with the fans going and door and window open Beds are upstairs in a loft I did read a orevious review about problems in the alley,I have never experienced that but I'm sure it could happen Still overall a good place to stay in Vic. IMO

    Visited for Christmas

Nice apartment/loft style rooms close to downtown waterfront. Priced reasonable with small kitchen area if you choose not to eat out. The only issue we found was the bathroom is located on the first floor with the main bedroom upstairs but overall not a big deal.

    Very good stay, and location

We arrived very early, around 1100am on Sunday morning. We were able to leave our bags at with the resort, so that we could go and explore downtown.. But first, we had to get our valet parking set up at the Best Western hotel,, which is nearby. Tip #1 - free street parking on Sunday, but it was hard to find a spot. You could save some money if you can find a parking spot, but would have to move your car on Monday morning or pay the meter. We had a 2 bedroom unit facing the street. There is an elevator, but the stairs are just as fast if not faster. We must've been lucky, as there were 4 fans in the unit to help with the heat - no AC available. Other than the master bedroom, the rest of the unit was pretty cool, with the fans going all day. They had everything that we needed during our stay, including complimentary Kuerig coffee for a couple of days. We did not use the rooftop BBQ, but did go up to see what kind of view was up there. Nothing too exciting to see. The surrounding area is fine during the day time - Chinatown to the north. There was a strong urine odor around the corner, so I can only guess that the street people relieve themselves along the wall. There's a lot of bird droppings on the streets, so the seagulls must go everywhere. We did not use our car during our stay. We walked to Fisherman's Whart, The Royal BC Museum, and around downtown. We walked about 5 miles each day. I walked over to Shopper's Drug Mart for some milk, juice, and picked up some pasta and sauce for dinner. Otherwise, we went out to enjoy the local cuisine.
