Not a good choiceI booked this hotel through Internet. It's too bad. The room is old, smelty and very dirty. They have poor service and the breakfast was unacceptable with a 3 stars hotel. I saw a mouse running while I having my breakfast. I stayed here for 3 nights but I couldn't had any good sleep at night. Sometimes it was very noisy & there's no wifi for me. Moreover, I did had a bad night with their air-con also. Hope the hotel could improve their quality soon. Next time, I'll chose some hotels nearby the beach.

Looks big but oldThe hotel must use to be very luxury in the past but it is quite old now. Room is big but air con does not work and the technical staff can not help. Breafast is very poor. Maybe the only good thing is location, near the river and surrounding streets are quite fun.

Mushrooms growing in room 401!We booked two rooms, and were allocated 301 and 401. Both rooms were in dire need of refinishing (as is the rest of the hotel), a lot of damp patches on the walls, stains, horrible smells, dirty bed linen and in room 401 I had the treat of mushrooms growing out if the scirting boards! So the two of us stayed in room 301 which was the lesser if the two evils. As we have travelled Vietnam, we have stayed in many 1 and 2 star hotels/guesthouses and so staying in a 3* should have been a real treat! I am sure many yrs ago it was a very beautiful hotel, but it is from from that now. You'd be better paying an additional £5 and staying somewhere else.

Avoid at all costsThis used to be a nice hotel. Actually, one of Danang's best. It had nice rooms with big bathtubs, a decent restaurant with a nice breakfast, and a spa. It was pretty crowded and there were always people in lobby ordering drinks and talking. I had a meeting near it this week, so I booked at the Royal. (Now known as Royal Star Hotel.) I think I heard a door close once, but I could have easily been the only guest. The lobby is empty and they do not even turn the lights on. The restaurant and spa are closed. In my room, the door to the bathroom had a layer of mold. There was black mold and hairs on the bathtub. (I wouldn't think of taking a bath.) The housekeeping staff only changed the towels. They called the 3rd floor a non-smoking floor, but they have ashtrays in all of the rooms and in the common area. It feels like they are just keeping it open until they are able to sell the property or tear it down to build a high rise.

GREAT EXPERIENCE!I stayed here for 1 weeks with my husband for the first time. Small hotel but nice decore. The staffs were very helpful and always smile. I did not eat much in the hotel but the food not bad at all. I especially love the Roof Top café where I can see the whole city from there with amazing view and have some sweet time with my husband. Overall the price is quite cheap to me. Recommend for somebody have low budget for long stay. Dont know when I will be back Danang but for sure this hotel will be my only choice for my stay. Thanks to all the staffs who supported me during my stay.
