  Good hot spring facility

  We lived in deluxe double room (room 702). Good hot spring facility, clean, nice staffs, good air conditioning, quiet. Highly recommended. A bit difficult for traveller who carry big luggage because of the stone road and hotel is on little hill. Overall it's worth to pay for this room.

  Good place for relaxing

  Everything is perfect with reasonable price. Only a little thing should be improve. Breakfast!! Good for morning walk to thermal valley and the park around the town.. Good location go to Tamsui and Shilin market and more and more.. And very kind and friend like staffs. Want to stay again if I can visit Taipei..

  Good deluxe double room

  Getting to hotel: Pretty easy during the day. Get to Beitou station, ask the information counter to help you call the hotel. Take note that shuttle services take place every half hourly upon calling. You can walk from XinBeitou station.. Be forewarned that the journey is literally an uphill one. Tiring! Location: Pretty close to the Thermal Valley! Need to walk a bit to get food. Hotel staff Depending on who you get, some are friendly some are nonchalant and just do their job. Breakfast food Typical taiwan-style breakfast. Good but not much variety Rooms The difference betwn the double rooms and the economy double rooms are vast. VERY vast. Double room = luxury. Economy = cramped (& maybe unsafe. Read below) When I entered the economy room, the crampedness wasn't an issue for me. The issue was in the safety of the bathroom / private hot spring area. The bathroom window had blinds on it. Outside the window is a walkway which, according to the hotel, is not open to ppl. The problem? There was a ladder outside meaning repairmen do pass through. The blinds had various big gaps in between some parts, making it easy to peer in. Really. If you don't mind, then no issues. The double room (which I upgraded to out of concern with a hefty fee because checked in) also had blinds with some gaps but it is not adjacent to a walkway for potential peeping toms since it is on a higher floor. In fact, it felt luxurious. I enjoyed the stay in this room!

  Relaxing room

  There's free shuttle to / from Beitou Station upon early request. It's a 15 - 20 mins walk down hill from hotel to station or other restaurants and shopping area, shuttle bus from hotel required booking earlier which usually an hour in between until 9 or 10pm night time (if not mistaken). The room itself is clean and nice, bathroom attached with hot spring facility, but the water out from the tap is like normal tap water, i'm not sure whether that's really hot spring water or just normal water with high temperature only as seems like no difference. Shower head broken, water leaked all the way. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Didn't managed to try our their restaurants.

  Enjoy my stay

  This vintage hotel is awesome. I was staying in a deluxe room and this room has the access to a private hot bath. If you like a personal me-time when bathing, this place is suitable for you. They also provide free access shutter to or from nearby MRT and easily to book via phone. P.S. maybe some point of improvements, instead only allowing phone call to book the shutter bus, maybe can consider whatsapp, wechat, facebook and other social media that are commonly used by your guests. Nowadays, not many tourists are buying sim cards when travel.
