Perfect place to stay in Busselton

This is a fantastic hotel for families. We were staying with our 10 month old daughter, so it was great to be staying in a hotel which had a kitchen in the room as well as laundry facilities. Tea, coffee and fresh milk were provided too. We were also given a voucher for a complimentary drink each at the bar. The room was very spacious and was on two floors and there was a balcony overlooking the swimming pool where it was nice to sit in the morning when having breakfast. The pool was nice and quiet. We had the pool to ourselves when we used it. Location was perfect. It was right in the town centre with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. It was only a few minutes walk to Busselton jetty and sea front. Other hotels we looked at were a lot further away from the town centre. There was plenty of free parking available. Had a very enjoyable stay. Will definitely stay at the Ship Inn next time we visit Busselton.

    Very small bathroom

Smallest bathroom I have ever encountered. Smaller than the one in our caravan! We were only there for 2 nights for a family occasion. Kitchen range hood literally dripping grease. The air con worked, we were nice and warm and the bed was very comfortable. Apart from the range hood it was clean. It is very central, within a very comfortable walking distance to the shops, restaurants and cafes.

    Convenient, but at a price!

So I am trying to give an honest review and rating, but everything has a price bracket. The two story accommodation was clean and functional, but absolutely not luxurious. As you might expect from a large pub, it is located adjacent to a couple of busy roads so dont expect peace and quiet. We had one room overlooking the pool which was okay. The other overlooked a road and a car park. You want to make sure you get pool view rooms! A sitting, kitchen and dining room is on the ground floor with all the basics for an extended stay, including laundry equipment. It was roomy and clean but not very exciting. The bedroom upstairs was large with a large bed and ample wardrobe space. The bathroom however was very tiny. I think some bedroom space could have been sensibly sacrificed to make more room for it. Staff were great on checking in but that was the limit of our interaction. So, I cannot say that there is anything wrong with the accommodation as such, but we paid almost $1000 for two rooms and this is just way over the top for what we got. Admittedly it was school holidays but even so, we felt it was massively overpriced. Would I recommend it? Definitely not at this price. I would have been very happy had it been $100 or so per night per room but not at the price we paid. Sorry!

    good accommodation

accommodation was nice and clean, had everything you needed, if i was to come again i would ask for rooms away from Dan Murphy's and the pub carpark, as it was very noisy till about 1.00 am with patrons screaming and shouting

    Disappointed

We stayed in unit 3....first 2 nights no problem...units are good clean and enough of what you need..then came Friday night 12am pub turns out lots of young drunk patrons...car park turns into a public toilet many doing their business up parked cars.. Then the Olympic start who can destroy the fences, hurling themselves at it . Cars and taxis playing dodge the drunks...them they find the pool area...had to ring the pub got giggling girl thought it was funny...NOT...security did show up and kicked them out... Took till 1.30 to finally feel our vehicle was safe in public car park. This place needs urgent security upgrade for all units (ie security locked gates ) At $220 per night well over priced for what you get, Never again and would not recommend staying there at Weekends or function nights.
