  Birthday Afternoon Tea

  So disappointed with the tea. £75.00 for 3 afternoon tea.. But sandwiches were very sparse... Paid for extra..even tho discount offered all we wanted was a few more sandwiches Requested a cheese option.. One cheese finger sandwich produced!!!!... Such a shame as feel this has venue has deteriorated to a stage where I would not return.

  lovely day but spa in much need of some updating

  I booked a 30th birthday treat for myself and my daughter, this came with a body massage use of facilities and afternoon tea,the massage was good for the price we paid for the package and the tea was great, but a little bit chilly in the seating area to have afternoon tea, which they attended to, a little bit more insight to this before people are seated would have been better as we was in robes and just had our muscled warmed up through a nice massage only for us to get cold. The grounds are well kept and are beautiful, the spa needs a complete refurb as it looks very tired and dated, but rowhill is easy to get to for us and it was good value for money with the staff being first class with there smiles and help. Thanks rowhill for a lovely day it was great to revisit.

  Great experience at the spa and restaurant

  We stayed for 2 nights to enjoy massage, facial and swimming pool. It was good experience overall as hotel was very clean and they have managed well doing the pandemic. We enjoyed dinner too. They provide 35 pound 3 courses meal during Monday to Wednesday. It was very reasonable. Breakfast option was good too.

  Lovely escape from life

  The settings here were lovely, the grounds were beautiful. The rooms were immaculate and the beds were big and comfy. Facilities like the pool and stuff were good but not very big - one of the 3 mini pools wasnt working when we were there and the money it cost to go... I would have expected it to work! The food was amazing like a 5 star restaurant but all extras and things such as a toothbrush and small toothpaste were quite expensive (£3.50). For the money youre spending youd expect some things to be included. Thats not to say all the little extras in the room like tea, water, shampoos werent a great touch. Overall its a perfect escape from life and only a half hour drive from london

  First and last Spa day here!

  Unorganised! Our first and last visit there!!!!! My husband and I went for our first half spa day and didnt really know what to expect, but they gave us the itinerary of when our treatment was and the time of afternoon tea so we at least knew that! As we only had less than 3/4 hour till our massages, we only really had time to get changed and have a coffee, but after getting there early to the treatment room we waited for 15 minutes before someone came in and asked why we was there. The lady said our appointment time was half hour later than we thought and told us we were too early. Luckily we had our time on the paper she gave us , so she ended up passing it on to someone else who came in to say they had changed the time, but not for us. She asked if we wanted another quick cup of coffee before we went in, but as we had just bought one we declined ( plus we probably wouldnt have got served in time anyway! ) we went to the quiet room for 5 minutes then returned back. The massages were lovely, I had to have my mask on for the 2 hour massage ( except my face), but my husband didnt, so mine definitely wasnt as relaxing as it should have been! We got out there, just in time for afternoon tea and wax told to go and sit where we had our coffee. We waited for a while before we saw a waitress who went over to serve someone without even acknowledging us. 5 more people had come in after us, and when the waitress returned with the last order, we were ignored until she had served all the others, some still deciding!!!! By this time, both my husband and myself were very frustrated as she would not look at us so we could get her attention and when she went off to get the last order, I went over to her and said we had been waiting and ate late for our afternoon tea. She went and came back to take us in another room where she sat us next to another couple ( no social distancing there! ) which I wasnt impressed about either. On a good note, the tea was lovely and then spent the last hour and a half in the pools and steam room. The day was so stressful though rather than relaxing, which I thought a spa day was all about! Not great for £340!
