Convenient hotel right opposite to JR Saga stationGreat location and like their big room very much. Nice parking facilities and services. They also have hot bath (although not hot spring water) on ground floor for residents. All in all a very nice hotel for travelers in transit.

Fine choice, very convenientWe stayed at Hotel Route Inn Saga Ekimae for 3 nights in July 2015. We had 3 rooms booked for 4 people (1 twin room, 2 single rooms). The room rate was excellent especially for the single rooms especially considering the rate included breakfast. The location was one of the major selling points. The hotel is directly across the street from the station. There is a Seiyu across the street as well if you forgot any items or just like to visit non-touristy stores. There are a few small restaurants in the area and we enjoyed dinner at an izakaya on the 2nd floor across the street from the hotel. The check-in time is strictly at 3pm although we were able to convince them to let us into our room at 2:30pm due to extreme jetlag of one in our party. The front desk staff speaks some English but they seemed relieved that one of us is a native Japanese speaker and could serve as a translator. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. There was more space here than other rooms we stayed at during our trip to Japan. The carpet is quite industrial and the bedding is very plain but everything worked as expected and seemed well maintained. The air-conditioner is a little tricky but eventually we figured it out. If you are used to these types of "air-con" units, you probably won't have the problems we did. Despite its location on a main street and across from the station, the rooms were extremely quiet. We didn't hear a sound from the street. The bathroom has just enough space but is the single-unit type commonly found in this level of Japanese business hotels. The wifi is included and the signal was very strong in the rooms. I had trouble staying connected in the lobby. As mentioned, breakfast was included in the rate. It was a mostly Japanese buffet but there were mini omelets and some bread for those who prefer to eat a more western breakfast. Because the hotel was full, we were asked to choose a breakfast time slot when we checked in. We adhered to our selected time but didn't notice anyone checking tickets. There is a small onsen in the lobby level. My husband thought the men's bath was very nice so I went down to check out the women's only to find it less luxurious than the men's. I think this is typical of business hotels in Japan. One thing to note: we stopped back in our room mid-day to drop off some items and found our room (and all the others on the floor) wide open. The cleaning staff was working on several rooms simultaneously. Although Japan is a very safe country with a low crime rate, it did bother me a little that anyone could have walked into our room during these hours. If you have something of value, I would recommend checking it at the desk or taking it with you for your own piece of mind. I would stay here again and would recommend it for people looking for a simple, convenient Japanese hotel.

Ok for a short stayI went to Saga for professional reasons and the hotel was fine. The room was clean and large enough. The breakfast was plentiful and there was easy access to the station and to local shops and restaurants. There is however not many reasons to stop in Saga for fun!

An average hotelAN Average hotel near the Saga station. Nice room with fridge and water kettle. Small bathroom. Stiff beds with even stiffer cushions. Very quiet rooms. A lot of restaurants and shops near the hotel so the location is very good.

Convenient location, good service, hot bath, big room (in Japanese standard). hard /stiff bed which I like.Right in front of JR saga station and bus terminal. Many small restaurants and pubs are around, mostly on the side streets. Room was comfortably big. A good surprise was the big hot bath on the ground floor, open during night and also early morning. Breakfast was ok, serving both Japanese and some western: coffee was ok, to our surprise. Service was very good.
