  Good location if you arrive by car

  Clean room, decent size (for Japan), friendly (English speaking - well, at least one of them) staff, nice common bath, and a simple breakfast is included. Parking if you arrive by car. The location is off the highway, so probably well suited if you arrive by car. If you arrive by train, there's a free shuttle bus a few times a day, that can take you to/from the hotel. It's still a fair bit away from both the town centre, and the sights. It's probably not the best choice if you arrive by train, and are there to sightsee. Other than the location (if you're there to sightsee), the hotel was very good value for money - it's probably an excellent choice if you just need a place to stop for the night.

  Perhaps not a place you will want to visit again

  This hotel is a typical Japanese budget resort placed a bit inconveniently isolated in the outskirts of Hikone (there is a free shuttle service from the railway station though). The rooms are uninspiring and cramped, the beds tend to be small and hard, not very comfortable. Breakfast is served early and only until 9:00: mostly Japanese foods are served, together with a bland choice of bread. There is an "onsen" facility but it's not the real thing. Overall, a forgettable experience, there are better options in Hikone.

  too far away from Hikone station

  I stayed in this hotel for three days and i found it to be a bit costly as compared to other hotels in Hikone with same facilities. The breakfast was very good as compared to other hotels where i stayed in Hikone, the spread was wide and good. The rooms could had been bigger and the beds & bedding seem to be in need of a quick refurbishing
