  Excellent stay!

  We had an excellent stay at Rosslyn House! Martin and Vanessa were very welcoming and helpful. Before we arrived, Martin sent us a list of recommended restaurants to help us decide where to book. Martin also showed us around the room, explaining how to work the coffee machine and gave us an idea of how to travel around Whitby. The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The cakes and sweets were a nice touch. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of choice, from traditional to more modern specials. We would recommend staying here!

  Fabulous B&B, Wonderful Hosts

  We booked this B&B on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews but I must say the reviews don't do it justice. Martin and Vanessa go out of their way to ensure you feel safe and welcome. We had room 5, right at the top of the house, an amazing room but not suitable for those with mobility issues due to access. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished with a comfy bed and oak furniture. A mini fridge was provided with water and milk as well as a well stocked hospitality tray and coffee maker, items were replaced daily. We also had cupcakes on arrival. Covid restrictions meant there was no breakfast buffet, but you ordered ahead from an extensive menu and food was brought to your table. The fresh fruit salad with yogurt was delicious as was the full Yorkshire breakfast. Martin and Vanessa were helpful with advice on where to eat on an evening. We had a wonderful time and felt perfectly safe in these strange times. For anyone unsure about having a staycation, give this place a try, it's definitely worth it. We will be returning

  Highly recommended

  Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Rosslyn House. Can't praise Vanessa and Martin enough for making us feel so welcome and safe with all the Covid measures in place. Our room was lovely and comfortable with everything we required and more (the cup cakes were a lovely surprise) Breakfast was excellent, everything from the amazing fresh fruit salad to the full Yorkshire breakfast! can't fault anything. Rosslyn House is just a short walk to the beach in one direction and the harbour in the other. The use of a parking permit was a great plus. We would highly recommend this B & B.

  A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

  We stayed at Rosslyn House for a long weekend in October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Right from the onset, contact with Martin was excellent....He was incredibly helpful and professional. On arrival we were met by Martin who showed us to our room and made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated and the B&B is superbly located ...close to town center and all amenities but in a quiet pleasant location. Breakfast choice is extensive and is served in a lovely setting. Martin served breakfast with professionalism but he was also attentive, sociable, and chatty ...the perfect host. Breakfast was superbly prepared by Vanessa who spoke to guests at the end of their meal which was appreciated by all guests. Martin and Vanessa have put in place excellent systems to ensure the safety of their guests but this was not 'over the top' and did not spoil our stay at all. All in all an excellent stay...we hope to return in the near future.

  An excellent place to stay

  We had a really lovely stay at Roslyn House. Martin and Vanessa had gone out of their way to ensure that we had a very safe stay, with all COVID precautions in place. The house was very clean, warm and tastefully furnished. The choice for breakfast was excellent. They were brilliant hosts. We wouldnt hesitate to highly recommend a stay at Roslyn House
