  Fabulous stay. Perfectly clean and welcoming

  This was yet another fabulous week-long break at Dave and Fredas. They are the most welcoming, hospitable and generous hosts possible. The observance of covid-19 requirements was spot on, with anti-bac hand sanitisers and cleanliness. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It just gets better every time we stay. There are home-made soaked fruits and fresh compotes daily, which are Fredas speciality. Bottomless tea, coffee, herbal, speciality, decaff drinks. The cooked breakfast is whatever you choose. Dave cooks an amazing full english, or a smaller version with sausage, egg, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, beans and fried bread. The large is double sized! Other choices include any selections from the list above, smoked salmon with scrambled egg, porridge, kippers and boiled eggs. Fresh (brown and/or white) toast is plentiful and more is made on request. There are about 10 cereals to choose from, with no limits on how much you can have. No matter how long your stay, towels are changed at least daily. I had a bath in the afternoon and came home that night to another change of towels. On arrival you will receive afternoon tea/coffee with scones. Every afternoon Freda puts a different cake in your room (eg blueberry muffins, chocolate muffins, lemon cake, almond cake) and there are always chocolate biscuits on the help yourself tea tray in the room, again with a huge selection of teas and coffee and fresh milk in the mini fridge in the bedroom. Extremely well priced at a time when many b and bs have put up prices. We have already booked our next return. This is the best b and b we have ever stayed at.

  Enjoy it every time

  Freda and Dave made us every welcome. Scones and tea on arrival, room immaculately clean and nothing missed to protect visitors. You feel like your at a friend's and they are looking after you. Good location outside the center so ample parking around

  Home from home

  Yet another great stay with Dave &Freda.The weather was not very good this time but the warm welcome from our hosts more than made up for it.Everything is in place for safe stay.Nothing is too much trouble for them.Just love the breakfast also the cakes left each evening.Would not stay any where else.If you want to try it please try to book direct as you get the best deals that way.Hope to visit again soon

  The most amazing hosts

  Just had the most amazing stay here, Freda and Dave are the most amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble everything is immaculate , tea and scones are provided on arrival , there is every different type of tea and coffee and fresh milk in the room and Freda made Banana cake and left it in the room on our return from us being out for the day. There is so much choice for breakfast we have been to 5 star hotels abroad and this is of the same standard. We have highly recommended this guest house to all our friends and would definitely return. There is the choice to ring the guest house direct. Definitely the best guest house we have stayed in.

  Lovely stay

  Had another lovely stay freda and Dave are excellent hosts in every way possible rooms spotless food is lovely and plentiful nice stroll to town and plenty room to park the car wont even think about staying anywhere else in Whitby on our next visit thanks again Denis and Christine
