  Warm, spotlessly clean and welcoming

  What a delightful couple who run this wee gem, close to the town. Although not a 5 star property, they certainly have 5 star standards of cleanliness, genuinely welcoming and warm, spacious rooms. We had to ask if we could bring our 6 month Cavalier kC spaniel at the last minute - no problem. We took her crate and bed and she was happy and safe. Nice quiet streets to walk her. Will recommend and definitely stay again.

  Best in the price range

  It was a last minute decision to stay in Tauranga and we just needed a place to lay our heads so went for the cheapest option not knowing what we were going to get. We were pleasantly surprised. Although the motel is old the rooms have been tastefully decorated and are comfortable. The motel is very quiet and close to the city. The host was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom, although clean, is in need of updating. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Roselands as a quiet, cost efficient option for staying in Tauranga.

  Well kept, Well located - A Novel Welcoming Hotel

  Roselands in well located only a few minutes walk to Tauranga's Cafe, Restaurant & Shopping precinct. It is also located far enough way and on a quiet street so that noise is no issue. The property is neat Moter Inn style of a Motel. The rooms were average in size and included a small seperate kitchenette. The kitchenette and bathroom were a through-back to the 60s/70s but were in pretty good condition. The shower had a style of taps that I personally have not seen for years. It was very novel but also clean,comfortable and well priced. The bed was comfortable so it covered all the bases. Roselands is well worth considering if you are are after a well priced & located Hotel on your visit to Tauranga

  Fantastic stay, super friendly host

  Super friendly host (thanks Dominique!). We stayed in unit 7 on second floor. The place was very clean, spacious and plenty of sunlight getting in. It's not luxurious but has all you need. There's thoughtful minor touches that you'd not find in your usual accommodation in NZ - such as a bottle of wine for not smoking :)

  One Love

  Had a mint time staying from Friday through to Tuesday. Super close to the venue, town and the main drag. Dominic the hotel manager was super attentive, helpful and all round cool. We used the BBQ which was a great addition to the weekend. Only minus would be the want and need of air conditioning when it gets hot. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to whanau and friends.
