  Drinks and dining

  Havent been here for few years now. Had few drinks outside and then inside Plenty of different rooms to drink Lovely. Also got a gin bar looks well nice. We ended up dining Food was excellent not cheap But you get what you pay for Good food service

  What a fantastic place

  This is a hidden gem in the heart of Burnley. The surroundings are gorgeous with fantastic interiors -perfect if you wanted somewhere for your wedding. Had the pleasure of dining here and the service is fantastic. All the staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The chef is fabulous - food is great quality and reasonably priced and the creme brulee I had is the best I've ever tasted. If you've not been here before you need to go and treat yourself.

  Fantastic hospitality at charming hotel

  Had such a lovely little break at this family-run hotel. The staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property has lost of character with stunning period features. It also has a really cosy snug bar, complete with open fire, and a well stocked gin bar. We stayed in suite 31 - could not recommend it enough. Living flame fire, french windows, polished floorboards and antique furniture made it feel really luxurious. A really special stay.

  Outstanding place full of charm and character

  We loved every minute of our stay. The staff were lovely and the whole hotel is full of quirky character but is stylish with it. We had a suite with a roaring fire and patio doors that opened onto a private garden. Lush. For the price it was magnificent.

  Excellent cooked breakfast

  The cooked breakfast was exceptionally good, so tasty, generous helping and well presented. Our room was clean, apart from some small mould stains in the bathroom. There was a good selection of biscuits, coffee and tea in the room, sadly the same couldn't be said for coat hangers, only one in the wardrobe. The bed was comfortable and warm but when it was time for bed, I was shocked to see that the sheets had not been ironed. I didn't contact reception as it was late. The waitress who served breakfast was friendly and pleasant unlike the ladies on reception who were more matter of fact. Overall it was a bit of a disappointment, shame really with just a little more attention to detail, our stay would have been so much better.
