Theres better aroundOk to say quaint but clearly the cleanliness is well below average. Plus you are not private the owners garden sits facing your room so you feel un comfortable sirting outside as the wife looks over all the time should be cleaner

Quiet, serene, a excellent retreat.Accommodation was clean, very neat and the grounds were in perfect condition. The owner was friendly and the whole experience was very relaxing. We stayed in one of the Brooks Road old world type cottages. The facilities were excellent and inviting.

Best place to spend a quiet and relxing holiday!!!A very homely, comfy and peaceful cottage. I loved the surroundings as well. So relaxing and quiet. The retro look in the cottage was fabulous. The garden is well maintained. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Care NeededWe can only repeat what others have said. We believed we had booked a Brooks Road cottage only to find we had been allocated the Smithton townhouse which is nothing like a cottage and of which there was no mention on our booking confirmation. There are external stairs at the townhouse. Difficult for us over 70's to climb in the wet with suitcases. The driveway is also steep and dangerous to back out of, but turning around in the allocated parking is not possible when there are two cars there if Rosie's Cottage is also occupied. So great care is needed in booking to ensure you get the Rosie's accommodation that suits you best. But more care is also needed by Rosie's (as also mentioned by others ) with their cleaning. Really not good enough - particularly the more difficult bits like the stove, rangehood, washing machine, pots & pans. The townhouse though is reasonably comfortable, has a great shower, and is conveniently located. It is on Smithton's main road though which means some traffic noise and the bus yards next door also create some noise as 15 or so school buses roll out at 7.30 am. Difficult and disappointing for us and we would not stay at the Townhouse again.
