Charming, cozy place that makes you feel safe and loved --and well fed!

Honestly this is the best hotel experience I've ever had. The proprietor was the most incredibly kind man, the breakfast was phenomenal and served so quickly i thought he must have a staff back there helping him, but no, he does it all himself! It's not the 4 seasons but that's not the point, it is a fantastic value and just had the best vibes ever. A short walk to all kinds of shops, a mall, a park, etc. Seriously considering going back there just to stay with these wonderful people.

    Excellent breakfast

Stayed night on hottest day on record - no air conditioning but fan provided, Very friendly and welcoming proprietor. Basic room but clean and tidy with everything you need. Excellent value for money and a wonderful breakfast enough to keep you going all day.

    Great value & location

A simple but comfortable B&B located less than 10 mins walk from Queensgate Bus Station & Peterborough Rail Station. I was in the top floor room which, being at the back of the house, was shielded from the traffic noise from the busy roundabout close to the front of the guesthouse. Huge, comfy bed and huge, comfy breakfast which set me up for the day! Great, friendly staff too.

    Excellent value and excellent hosts

First time here. Stayed 2 nights. Lovely breakfast. The dog 'approved me to stay! Close to town. Very comfy bed and room. There are 2 buildings and all rooms are named after Irish cities. Would recommend and would stay again

Down to earth but really good value

Stayed over one night, had business in the city and stayed over into the Saturday to see a bit of the town which we have never visited before. The B&B is basic but very low cost - think transport cafe with a bedroom. Proprietor is very friendly, very helpful, and VERY Irish! Seriously, if you have a problem with our Celtic cousins then do NOT come here, but if you want a touch of the blarney then it's ideal. Others complain about the TV remote or the shower etc, but as I say, it's basic. We found everything works - to a degree. TV was fine, but the rmote only switches on/off. If you want volume or change channel, get off your bum and use the buttons on the set. It is very good to have a fridge and microwave in the room, AND cutlery/crockery for two included. Nice touch. We had a fish supper from The Golden Cod (reviewed elsewhere and deservedly well recommended) just round the corner, and ate off real dinner plates instead of out of the paper :o)) Bed was large (2 singles pushed together) and comfy, parking a short walk away at £4 for 24 hours, and only about 15 minutes walk into the very heart of the city. Sure the place could stand some improvement and refurb, but with the room and a full cooked breakfast coming in at under £28 each you can't really complain about anything.
