    Lovely

Stayed for our third consecutive year & as always a very pleasant experience. Rooms 4, 5 & 6 on the upper level are in my opinion the best. Nice windows with views. Splashes of colour in the rooms, great showers, & super location. We stayed for 5 nights & our sheets & towels were changed mid stay. Lejla who looks after the rooms was amazing. So friendly & nice in catering for us given our late departure out of Cavtat. Hvala puno Lejla!

If I was being picky, only three stars

Honestly I had never heard of Cavtat before being told by our tour company that rooms in Dubrovnik were hugely expensive and unavailable anyway. So our car with guide got there and had to park in the public lot, entailing what seemed like almost a kilometer of dragging luggage through the entire town to get to the property and find nobody there. As other reviewers noted, the key and a note are on a table for each person who plans to check in. Just by chance we saw a lady who may have been an owner at the nearby bar, and she provided the Wi-Fi password. The Wi-Fi network kept disappearing and reappearing later. So odd. The cable TV showed dozens of channel options but only Croatian channels at the end. (That since happened to us in other hotels so it is not unique to this one. But still ...) You must remember to switch on the hot water outside the bathroom or the first person using the shower gets it all. The clock on the wall is set to 10:10 permanently. And best of all, a loud (church?) bell went off at 7 AM. Be ready for that. Now there is a small frig, but no ice tray (probably purloined by someone before), a hot water pot for coffee/tea, and someone had left part of a jar of coffee and some salt, which was nice. Salt is an important snack at night. AC worked fine, and behind the bed a window looked out on a terrace and all the activity. Being fair about this, it just seemed like an average room but we do not have a lot of experience with serviced "apartments" like this, so it's hard to compare. That's why four stars instead of three, and there was nobody on site to ask. That awful trek to and from parking is a downer, though.

    Sleeping with history

Hard to find but a unbelievable private courtyard greets you as you turn the key. Nice rooms but the hot water was nonexistent. And the free WiFi was unable to penetrate the rock walls. Did not matter as the building is our reason to visit . The room had nice close sea view and was very quiet.

    Fantastic location.

Recent stay at Cavtat old sea rooms. Good value for money. Kettle and fridge in room. No room cleaning. Owner did not speak very good English so was difficult to converse. Air con a god send as it was so warm. Had no contact num for owner so was a little concerned when electric blew. Fortunately my husband found fuse box and sorted it. Advised to have some sort of mosquito repellent for room as we didnt and killed 5 on our last morning. Bitten a few times too. Situated a few steps from beach area with bar. Not so good was the £16 daily for 2 sun beds and parasol. Other than that lovely stay in a beautiful place.

    Loveq quirky property

Stayed here for 3 nights then a further night on return from Montenegro. Loved the room, spacious with a large bathroom and shower. Spotlessly clean and a lovely private courtyard outside where I enjoyed chatting to fellow guests over morning coffee or a drink before bed. Fabulous location in an old monastery with a beach bar just outside (daytime only, so no noise) and some lovely restaurants and bars just a short stroll away. Mihaela, the managing agent, was very friendly and helpful and contactable at all times and in fact went over and above the call of duty and with the help of the lady who looks after the property, found and is returning to me a piece of jewellery with sentimental value that I carelessly left behind. I look forward to a return visit.
