  best Value for money in Vila

  Port Vila is an expensive town with the 3/4 * hotels charging 5* prices and delivering 2/3* service. This hotel however does not pretend to be more than it is... budget accommodation for travellers in a good location that is clean and safe. Seraphine and her team work hard to help with any problems (changing light bulbs or drying clothes). The kitchenette has a gas hob, fridge (which youll want to turn off at night coz its noisy!) and a sink. The gas bottle feeds both hub and shower but you physically have to turn it on for hot water and hob. Remember to turn it off before you go to sleep. The rooms are well ventilated but still. The beds are hard but Im used to that and they should really invest in some new linen given the high turnover of guests. It is washed but its definitely showing its age. It is also very noisy early morning and evenings with the main road nearby (plus side is its very easy to walk/ get a bus into town centre). Tip: You will need your own mosquito coils/ spray. Although the room are screened I got 30 bites on my arm on the first night as I hadnt had a chance to get to a shop to buy some. It would be nice if they provided a can of mortstein in each room. It happens in the tropics but couldve been avoided. It says they will organise airport transfers but it didnt happen. Its 1500vatu from the airport in a taxi so just pick one up when you arrive. The WiFi is a massive plus and works well sitting out on the balcony watching the world go by. Overall best value place I found in Vila if youre willing to put up with less than perfect surroundings!

  Good budget place

  Place a little on the shabby side but clean and comfortable. Lovely sunset view from veranda where you also have your breakfast. Easy 10 minute walk along coast to town or on the upper road. Small Chinese store over the hill and behind....a few minutes away. Lots of food places over by movie theater on main road. Can catch bus or taxi to airport from hotel gate. Free wifi. Helpful staff. Pay with cash only. Can book tours at Moorings hotel down at the bottom of hill on main road.

  Simple Luxury

  This basic hotel is all that is advertised. Clean, comfortable, included brekkie, good internet, great views from the large shared veranda. Quick walk to town and the share taxis to the airport are a quick walk down the hill.

  All Necessities Covered & Comfortable.

  This accomodation was great for my week long stay in Port Vila. There is an electronic ceiling fan to keep the air cool and netting on the windows so I can open my window at night without the fear of getting bitten. There is a fridge and stove top in the room. Breakfast is included in the accomodation cost which is great for when you plan to explore all day - gives you a head start - and it is pretty decent, toast and toppings, cereal, freshly cut fruit. I asked for extra towels and toilet paper when I was there which was given without any issues. The best thing about this accomodation is definitely the location. A few minutes walk in multiple directions from a range of restaurants and only 5-10 minutes walk from the city along the water front, so its easy to explore and there are so many buses coming past that it isnt hard to get around.

  Quiet and Comfortable Accommodation at Reasonable Price

  Stayed in the Comfort Double Room on the 2nd level. The room is pretty clean and comfortable and came with a mini kitchen where one can cook and ensuite bathroom. There is also simple breakfast provided out the front at the common balcony which accessible to all guests and there is some ocean view from the balcony. The accommodation is located approx. 5 to 10 mins' walk to the centre where there's quite a lot of dinning option to choose from and also where there is a pretty big local market. The staff and host are friendly and will help with hailing really cheap local mini bus to the airport if required. Overall, a quiet and nice place to stay.
