  Half board - take care

  We booked half board. On the first night we ate a la carte on the terrace. The food was good. After that we had to eat indoors as half board guests and the food was of canteen level at best. It was extremely disappointing. In explanation, the lady owner said that there are two separate kitchens, which seems rather odd for a 'four star' rated hotel. She defended the standard served and claimed that her half board food was fresh and excellent and that it was my just 'my opinion' and followed up with the old adage of 'no one has ever complained before'. I was with my family in a group of over 20 and we were all seriously put off by her attitude and the low half board standard. Breakfast - a second coffee machine is essential. The service is not 4 star at that time of day. The spa area was really enjoyed by some of the family who tried it out. The lift is very slow and although strictly made for 8, we were told to have no more than 3 in there at a time. Made us feel a little uneasy. The rooms are clean and are serviced well on a daily basis.

  Hotel on the Magnificent Lake Garda

  Set in the old part of Riva del Garda, the hotel offers everything the holidaymaker could want, close proximity to the lake, right in the middle of everything, excellent rooms, splendid food. Not perhaps all the immenities of a 5 star but more than sufficient. A group of us all said how good everything is. Lovely people as well !!

  we stayed at this lovely hotel for 11 nights

  the hotel was absouletly lovely ....the staff were lovely...danielle..renato could not do enough for us...reception staff to.the hotel is so clean ...maid very freindly to...we got the room that was adapted for us...food was lovely ...service was first class.we will be going back next year ..best hotel in the square...fab location

  Be careful driving in to drop off or pick up luggage

  We stayed for 10 days and hotel was lovely. The breakfast was great and staff was nice. But I received an expensive ticket for driving in to pick up our luggage when we left. I was in the square for 5 minutes maximum as the suitcases were already downstairs. Apparently you are supposed to have a receipt from the front desk but they did not inform us or give it to us and now I'm being asked to pay a large fine for driving in plus a fee from the rental car company for processing it. Eur 150.

  Terrible

  Unfriendly stuff, disaster with parking, no clear instructions how to get in and out of garage, aggressive explanations of stuff that its not their problem. Absolutely everything is available in nearby hotel Sole: breakfast dinner toilets ect, so maybe be better to stay in Sole
