  Hotel demasiado clasico

  Hotel bien situado pero demasiado clasico para mi gusto. Personal de recepcion muy amable y desayuno correcto. Yo si fuera de nuevo a Bamberg creo que iria a otro. Por cierto, la ciudad merece la pena

  Just good enough

  We stayed in this hotel for a week-end. The hotel has no parking contrary to the much less expensive neighbouring Ibis Hotel. You have to park in a public parking 300 m from the hotel across a big cross-roads. The reception is basic and the staff do their best but are low paid employees not professional receptionists. We stayed in a duplex room called "suite". When the weather is warm the airco is clearly not capable of keeping the room at an acceptable temperature. The room is spacious, nicely laid out, TV's on both floors, Internet works well. We ate a local asperagous menu in their restaurant. The starter and the main menu were good, the desert was bad. We didn't see a fitness. The breakfast is good but the manager (always in a suite with tie and over dressed) should be removed. He parades the whole time clearly totally useless. He arranged during a breakfast several times the same pile of plates left and right with 5 cm, gives some rude useless instructions to the staff who know what to do without his bossing, he often disappears in the kitchen, comes back after 5 mins... same routine over and over again. He is really a nuisance, adds no value, spoils the breakfast and should be removed. The rest of the staff, clearly traumatised by this guy, are very friendly. He shows also up in the evening in the restaurant and excels also there in useless parading. The business center is a cheap little computer table with 2 PC's next to the reception with no privacy at all. The hotel is nicely located very close to the center of Bamberg which is extraordinary beautiful. ON Saturday there is a market that features a lot of local produce. It is a big market. The city has a lot of historic buildings, has been discovered by the Japanese and Australian charter tourists.

  Primera visita a Bamberg

  Un bonito hotel para una ciudad preciosa. Céntrico y clásico hotel típico Aleman. Habitaciones cómodas y limpias. La chica de recepción muy simpática y atenta (Aupa Canarias!). Buena relación precio calidad. No dispone de parking para coche pero hay uno público muy cerca.

  Great Stay at this Excellent Hotel!

  We spent two nights here in August 2019 at a cost of 170 Euros/night. I would rate the value as an A! It's located next to the Altstadt on a lovely shopping street a couple of blocks from the Old Rathaus. The place was built in 1845 with a new addition (where we stayed). It has two elevators, a sun terrace, restaurant, and sauna/steam room. The room we stayed in, #106 was in the back of the hotel and extremely quiet with a "green roof" of succulent plants. Good A/C. Marble bath. Refrigerator. Parking was 12 Euros at the city lot a block away. The breakfast was a "10" and one of the best we have had in all Germany! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We were very happy with the entire experience and we highly recommend it.

  eclectic hotel

  A juxtaposition of good and average. No parking. lovely bathroom threadbare towels good reception really historic beautiful building well situated. Good restaurant in a lovely town . The position and food is great.
