  Beautiful location

  I had a three nights stay in the hotel. I was upgraded to luxury room with sea view. Very friendly staff and very helpful! Breakfast outdoor on the terrace and night cup with excellent red wine. It was all very well organised to meet the Corona hygiene requirements. As my daughter and her family live there I will for sure come back very soon. Thank you for the extra pillows and the harder magres!

  Excellent hotel with top service and the most friendly team!!!

  We have often stayed at the Sonne in kussnacht, but this trip has been remarkable thanks to the hotel team, who has gone out of their way at all times to help us in all aspects of our stay. Remarkabke the restaurant team and its super friendly waitress staff.... Always friendly, always caring. Same for the reception team. Together with the exceptional location the Sonne is a sure bet for anyone looking for a nice location to spend some days with the family!!!

  Terrible menu at the Biergarten

  There have been many changes recently, most of them are good, i.e. better wines, tables are cleaner. The menu in the biergarten has also changed. I recently ordered for my kids some "fried chicken". When my order was ready, I discovered 4 tiny pieces of chicken, not bigger than 5cm in diameter, almost burned, for CHF 21. I was so surprised that I checked with the kitchen staff if was meant to be so small and that burned. It was. Interesting concept. And the chicken was below than average quality. It felt like a nasty ripoff.

  Stay for Golf Championship

  Nice hotel, nice service but Bed too small for two people. Food at restaurant was very good. Breakfast at buffet during Covid time very stringe. We had rooms facing the street maybe rooms looking the nice view on the lake was quite.

  Room for improvement

  We stayed at the hotel for a girls weekend and we really much enjoyed our lovely room, the nice location of the hotel right at the lake and the great food at the restaurant BUT the service has a lot of room for improvement. They are all friendly, but just don't meet the professionalism I would expect from such a venue. The level of self initiative is comparable with an overpriced front row restaurant at a tourist spot in Italy but definitely not appropriated for a hotel this class. A pity, because the hotel itself and the quality of the food is very good. But due to the lack of the service, we wouldn't come back.
