  Nice location /Average services

  The hotel structure and location are really nice ,beautiful view from dining area ,nice room.We stayed 2 nights in one of the "Executive" rooms thinking to spend a romantic weekend but the result was not that special.Roof inside the room was full of spider-nets and quite big spiders,windows full of spidernets from outside so was almost not possible to open it to get fresh air(nets broken so ever insect could come in) .In the morning we could feel smell from the kitchen cooking eggs from 7:30 am,not the best to wake up.Breakfast is nice ,they even serve croissants,just a pity they don't serve coffee espresso even if they have the coffee machine at the bar( once I asked and waitress replied they do coffee only from lunch) so have to drink long coffee from thermos like long "americano". Outside there are animals like donkeys and camels ,sheeps,very nice for kids but on our last day we found a donkey laying on the ground feeling sick,and nobody from hotel around .I just hope they care about animals more than hotel customers. Surely not worth the price paid.Will not come back .Looks like a nice elegant car driven by a bus driver.

  Expensive for what it is

  We have spent 2 days with children age 8-11 there in late March, so we could not appreciated the scenery and the nature in its best. The hotel was still somehow waking up from the winter. The food in a restaurant was not anything near the quality they charged for. The "scottish" salmon with coriander and creamy sauce tasted like just defrosted fish with a splash of sour cream sprinkled with coriander and dry rice as a side dish, all this for over than 300 crowns. My friend was not impressed either. The staff was generally very friendly and nice. The hotel decor was a bit of a confusing mishmash. The hotel had a tendency to look like a modernized copy of something historical, probably connection to Karlstejn castle nearby. Why we had a poster of Spanish Sevilla from 1987, I had no idea. The restaurant was the same distasteful mishmash trying to give impression of something rather luxurious. A visit of interior designer who would unify the look would be helpful. The summary: A dull, uninterested expensive stay.

  Needing much TLC

  We were given the Honeymoon suite due to the heating not working in December. The room was very nice, very romantic and very comfortable. The breakfast area was stale and without a glimmer. Not much to say about the breakfast and not much to say about the scenery as it was December. Wifi was excellent in the suite. Walking distance to the castle and city centre. Pet zoo and mini zoo nearby. Staff besides Lucie was ok. Lucie went all out to make us feel welcome and solve our issue. Honestly this hotel lacks a purpose. It's trying to aim to all markets and imo it doesn't serve any. The owner apparently has multiple hotels in Prague and treats this one as a minor nuisance.

  Amazing wonderfull place

  Very beautiful place near the Karlstejn Castle located on the Berounka riverside. Really very romantic. Excellent restaurant and diner, very good services. Rooms equipped with A.C. and minibar, very comfortable. I can really recommend, does not matter if you are travelling for romantic trip or business or just to see some place of interests. For children and families - nice zoopark very close to the hotel.

  Great small hotel

  Hidden on the banks of a river beneath a Middle Ages village with the fairy tail castle this hotel is an absolutely gem . Very well appointed, excellent restaurant and extremely good value for money . Stayed one night on a trip from Berlin to Budapest .
