  Great Location, Nice management, Great condo! My new favorite place!

  I had booked a last minute room online for just one night this past August. I had had an upcoming weekly rental at a condo nearby starting on a Saturday, but decided I wanted to come a day early to get a jump on things in an effort to avoid traffic, packing, driving, and unpacking all in the same day. As such, I was looking to book a room for Friday night. I was also acutely aware that it was weekend during peak season, so I expected that there may be some challenges. During my online search for rooms, there were not many vacancies left in my preferred North Wildwood location. Moreover, the available motel rooms that did have vacancies were expensive and did not look very desirable. Luckily an availability popped up at the Roman Holiday. I was willing to pay a bit more for a property that I was familiar with and was also in my preferred location. Over the many years I've been coming to the Wildwoods, I must have driven by The Roman Holiday literally a million times, and as such, consider it a landmark of sorts. The property always appeared clean, and the location cannot be beat. So I decided to go for it. I booked myself a room for that upcoming Friday. The description said something to the effect of "King suite, Ocean view" but did not show an actual photo of the room. I was not worried, knowing I have always liked the outside aesthetic of the property and was excited that I was finally going to get to stay there. Still, I expected just a regular room with a king bed, and maybe side view of the ocean. Boy was I wrong! Upon my arrival, Dan at the front desk had checked me in. Dan, who turned out to be the manager, was highly professional, very friendly, and had my room ready for me when I arrived which made for an easy check-in process. Dan also described in detail the directions to my assigned parking spot, and how to get to my room from there. He did a great job describing resort information, as well as area favorites such as Russo's market just a block up and around the corner. Luckily I already know all about the area, but for a potential first-timer or for someone who is not so familiar with the Wildwoods, this information would be priceless! So, now to the room.. When I first walked in, I almost fainted. "The room" I was assigned to turned out to be a beautiful, newly renovated one-bedroom condominium suite with not one, not two, but THREE personal balconies, all of which faced directly ocean front. I thought I died and went to heaven! The unit was so nice that I didn't want to leave it. When I did decide to venture out, I walked straight to Russo's just a block and a half away to get myself a grilled chicken sandwich and some snacks. Later, I took a nice walk on the beach, and even caught the Friday night fireworks seen from the street right out front of the resort! I don't even want to give the room number away for fear it would forever be booked. But to this day, I am forever grateful for the lovely experience I had at The Roman Holiday. I did not end up utilizing the pool, but it did look clean and inviting. I am not sure if I somehow ended up with one of the best units, but the property itself is well maintained and the neighbor next door to me told me they've been renting there every year for the last fifteen years of so. I figure that is the best testament. Upon check-out the next morning, Betty was just delightful. I highly recommend The Roman Holiday and hope to return again next year! And a big thank you to Dan and Betty for being such lovely hosts!!!

  Best deal in Wildwood! Pool, waterfall, great staff, market 1 block away and across street from beach. We have stayed there for 24 years straight. Why go anywhere else?! Thanx again for a great stay!!

  Nice Place to check out.

  Our families visit several times a year, many staying a week, some come back for 4 day WE, a few stay 3+ weeks. Point is the we like the place for what it is, good layout, great staff. The units are owned by people, not the RH. Some units are nicer than others, ot controlled by the RH. So the may want to just look into the unit your looking at staying in to see if it meets your standards. The location is as close to the ocean / beach that you can get to, so if you love the quick access to the beech, you have it across the street. Food and restaurants are all within a close distances (for take out Russo's is awesome and less then a block away. No bar or restaurants are located at RH. Boardwalk start is within 2-3 blocks.

  Updated, great location, great staff!

  We recently finished up our week at the Roman Holiday, so I thought I would say a few words. We used to come here when our kids were young. They're out of the house now so it has been awhile. It was always a little run down, but with a great location - a short walk to the Boardwalk, and great beaches just across the street. They were running a special during the week this year, and for the price you could not beat it. Because of the COVID virus, we thought long and hard about coming. We are really glad we did. They've taken room sanitization seriously. The room was REALLY clean. We brought our own "gear" to wipe things down, but that was pretty much for our own peace of mind. Staff wore masks (as we did). And, much to our surprise, the rooms have been seriously remodeled, and are individually owned. They are nice! A particular "shout out" to the General Manager, Daniel, who recommended a room to me when I was booking, and was always available to answer a question or two. The facility has never looked better - freshly painted and cared for. And the location can't be beat...

  Friendly and Clean

  We stayed here end of September. We stayed with family and friends and each one loved their rooms. The place is very clean and staff is very friendly. We usually stay in August but due to Covid we decided to postpone. Although this was our first time in the off season we had a wonderful time. Most boardwalk stores were closed but we expected this. Would definitely come again.
