  Nice stay

  We stayed here one night on or way to Christmas. Yes its under construction but was great value. Exterior nearly complete lobby too. It is beautiful inside. The kitchen is almost finished so the breakfast will soon be hot choices. Amy at front desk was wonderful. Anything we needed. She even offered us a light to walk dogs at night. Bed was comfortable room was big with microwave and refrigerator. Room remodel is next. Give them a chance. We will stay again

  Problematic

  One night was $62.00, I did an online reservation, reserved room with king size bed. Recieved phone call that they did not have a king available, auto-downgraded me. Went to check-in, was given a room on second floor, all rooms only accessable from inside, went to check room, electronic key did not open door, back down stairs, staff reprogramed key, back upstairs, again key did not work, (they keep same key card (generac) assigned for each room), they ended up changing room to a downstairs room. Not impressed nor satisfied, will not stay here again.

  Try it, youll like it!

  This is my first stay at the Kiva so I cant question the veracity of some of the previous reviews, but as of April 2019 the interior of this hotel is amazing! My room had recently been updated and looked and smelled fresh and clean. Each room looks out over a large modern indoor atrium, which during my stay was virtually empty. Possibly the bad weather had grounded a lot of travelers, but I was still surprised to see so few guests. The young woman who checked me in was very helpful and friendly and filled me in on a little of the history of the Kiva and its ongoing comeback. This place is much more than I expected considering the budget price!

  !BED BUGS!DON'T STAY HERE!

  Mattress was infested with bed bugs. Management did refund my $ after I told them I was not staying there, however acted like they knew about the situation and it wasn't a big deal. Always get into the habit of checking your mattresses prior to settling in. You'd be suprised how many places are infested.

  Clean and comfortable beds.

  The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. It used to be a very high in hotel and has been kept up very well. It's not brand new but for the price it is very nice. We stay 6 to 8 days a month at different hotels. I'd stay here again.
