    Another wonderful visit!

    This was our second stay at the Rocking Horse Inn and our first choice when we were returning to Ravenna. It is located on a quiet street within easy walking of downtown Ravenna. The Inn is a lovely, quaint, Victorian setting with wonderful antiques. Historic room was comfortable, private and quiet with our own bath. All of the amenities of a personal stay- towels, dryers, robes. Breakfast and snacks are abundant, delicious and enjoyable. Downtown Ravenna is an architecturally and historically beautiful downtown with great shopping, food and beverage. Our stay was leisurely and our host, Bob, was most gracious. Another wonderful visit to this area and we will return!

    public nuisance

    You really missed the mark on this one. No way its 4.3 out of 5 stars. Its in a shady neighborhood to begin with. I took my 89 yr old mom with me for my sons graduation. We arrived to an overgrown yard with weeds everywhere. The facade had peeling paint and looked like a condemned building. No wheelchair ramp that I could see. Didnt look ADA compliant. I told my mom to wait in the car while I checked it out. There was no one at the building and a hand written post it note on front door to use ur code from your email to get in. Once in it looked like a haunted house a table in the corner w a sign that said sign in. An envelope w your room key. Ours was a second floor room , again , not wheel charge accessible and I certainly did not see an elevator. I walked up 2 flights and at the top of stairs was a headless mannequin in a dress. Our room was down a very narrow hallway and then down a second narrow hallway. At the end of that hallway was a sign that said construction zone. Our room, u guessed it, was in a construction zone. I went back to the car to get my mom to come in. Shes struggled to get up the stairs just to get in the foyer of the house. Once she struggled to get up the stairs to see the room she asked why are we staying in a construction zone? is it safe here thats all I needed to hear. I called a local Hampton in. And drove 25 minutes to a real hotel. We did not see a sole when we wer there. No one to welcome us , nothing. Did not feel safe, building looked like it should be condemned. No where to park. Just terrible and I travel all over the world. Easily the worst experience ever and most over rated place ever

    4.5 out of 5

    The Rocking Horse Inn, Ravenna, Ohio, is currently being renovated in the kitchen, on the roof, and in various rooms. Judging by its current state, which is quite nice even when incomplete, it is going to be pretty spectacular. I would give it a 4.5 right now due to the construction, but the constraints of Trip Advisor being what they are, I can only make it a 5, which, considering the food and friendly welcome, is a just rating and well-earned. Dining room, entry hall, and living room, all downstairs, are specious and filled with interesting early-twentieth century memorabilia. Yes, there seems to be at least one Rockinghorse in every room. Guest rooms are beautifully done, and ours was wonderfully arranged. Our bathroom was a bit small for us ( both my wife and I are over six feet tall) but everything was in working order, clean, and dust-free. Bob, the proprietor, is friendly and was kind enough to let us and served rd a very healthy breakfast, with all sorts of fruit and pastries as well as the usual breakfast juices, teas and coffees. The house is pleasant and interesting, and Bob was kind enough to give us the grand tour... which reminds me, the shared bathroom on the second floor is very special and includes a jetted tub. All in all, a very nice, quiet place to stay.

    Great place to stay.

    This was our second time at this Bed and Breakfast. The owners are real nice. It's a quiet little get away. They offer you with different places to go for a nice dinner. They put out a real nice breakfast as well.
