    Needs improvements

    As a regular guest of Rixos Borovoe, I would like to leave an honest review of this hotel. I am taking into account all my previous experiences with this hotel. In general, this hotel is a really good one to choose, I would say my favorite! The infrastructure of Rixos Borovoe is great. The hotel provides different types of restaurants, bars, in room dining, swimming pool, great SPA center, indoor tennis court, skate rink during winter season, outdoor activities and entertainment, kids club, and even the beach zone during summer season. I stayed in different types of rooms, and can certainly say that my favorite one is a Junior Suite - spacious and clean. The range of food in buffet area is great, many options to pick from. However, I would like to mention some facts, which need to be improved! First of all is the check-in process. When you arrive on national or public holidays - its a disaster! OMG, even if you already paid for you stay, you need to wait in a loooooong queue in order to check-in. Last time it took me around 40 minutes to stay in line to get my room. This is really annoying for all people waiting at the check-in line, taking the fact that most of the people travelled for more than a couple of hours by car to get to the hotel. The second thing me and my family faced was the room we were given last time (May 2019). We paid for the Junior Suite, which we were given. However, we were provided with a room at the area of Casino (those folks who visit Rixos Borovoe for Casino are given the rooms in this area), thus we did not have a mini-bar and when we asked to change our room, we were told that the hotel has 100% occupancy. Well, ok. Still no one ever filled our mini bar in with drinks and snacks. The third thing, which is really disappointing every SINGLE time we come here is a restaurant with buffet area. As most of the people usually visit during National holidays, the hotel is basically PACKED, so as the restaurant. No free tables during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some guests even argue with each other in order to reserve the table for them, which is funny. The management of the hotel considered to offer a second restaurant with similar dining options on a different level. However, not everything that is introduced in the first restaurant is introduced in the second. What is for me, I still prefer to eat in the first restaurant. And the last thing which really was a PROBLEM of the hotel was an uncooked dish delivered for the in-room dining during my last stay in May 2019. We ordered a couple of dishes and drinks for in-room dining. Everything was nice except for one dish, which was ordered for my toddler. It was chicken burger patties, one of the burger patties was not cooked. It was deep fried for a crunchy skin but was absolutely raw inside! This is waaaaay to bad for the hotel of this level. We called the manager, he took the dish back to the kitchen, chef confirmed that it was their fault. The manager apologized and as a compliment gave us a nice bottle of one. It was a good move, but still we were very concerned about health of our toddler after she tried the raw chicken mince. At the end I would like to say that I would really appreciate if the management of the hotel would take into account all of the provided facts and consider future improvements.

    Misses Rixos Expectancy

    I stayed at this hotel during a business trip for two nights. Pluses: It is a 5 star hotel/resort. Rooms are quite nice and spacious. Pretty much what you would expect from a 5-star. However, language was a big problem to start with. I could hardly communicate in English, especially during breakfast. I am not sure if the issue was a language barrier issue, but some of the staff looked almost hostile (should add that there were smiling faces too). I had one dinner, and that was not too bad - I chose Indian. I will look to review this separately, but if you are thinking of going to the casino downstairs, waste your money somewhere else. They treat you like you are a criminal. Considering the location and lack of anything close to it, I recommend this place. But not just because of its own merit, but also because of the lack of similar alternatives. I expected Rixos to be a little more than this.

    Outstanding overall.

    Spa Resorption required attention and visit facilities at all time. Lifeguard should be in duty's at the swimming pool, NOT inside staff's room. SPA reseptionist shall monitor conditions of the floor. It is extremely slippery near by sauna/pool Area on stairs. Not safe.

    Excellent stay in a wonderful hotel where the staff is very professional and kind

    I have been staying at Rixos Borovoe Hotel during the weekend. This was the first time we have stayed in Rixos hotels and first time at this location. First very positive surprise was that the room was ready at 11:00 though the check in says 15:00. The lady at the check in desk was very professional and kind. Since our arrival was very early we paid for the breakfast and enjoyed a wide variety of food in a breakfast buffet. Then we went for spa, which is rather small and the only criticism is that there should be a pool that has been dedicated for families with small children. It was rather full, anyway the overall experience was good. We used the bar for dinner again the staff was kind end very helpful. The food was very delicious. Next day we decided to come to spa at 8:00 right when it opened and there was no-one there. The first family with children appeared at 7:45 so we went to breakfast. We asked for a late check out and during our stay everything was absolutely great. The only negative things was the packed hotel with families with small children, which a bit was loud. However, it is not hotel's fault. I warmly recommend this hotel.

    Level of service is below any expectations!

    3 rooms with 3 extra bed were prepaid. On the day of arrival decided to remove 1 extra bed, as there was no need anymore. Talked to Reception and agreed that the difference can be used as a deposit for extras. However on the day of departure 31.08.20 Aigerim answered that the amount is already refunded and she doesn't see third extra bed in the billing. After small calculation I can see that nothing was refunded back. Super nice front desk agent is insisting that it "supposed to be", even with the fact that she can't provide Credit Card sleep of refund. At the end Aigerim concluded that the amount will be refunded but only tomorrow, because the finance department is closed on holiday. Why we can't refund it now - I have the CC slip with the code, you have CC machine??? ...mystery Final dialog with the reception agent convinced me to avoid this hotel forever: -will I get point for this stay? -I don't know -what does it mean? -it is suppose to be added after check-out. -can't you check if my loyalty card number is attached? -yoh didn't ask if it is attached. You asked if the points will be received. The whole conversation the agent showed how she is tired of people surrounding her. I didn't ask to pretend that anybody is happy to welcome a guest in this hotel. But there is no welcome amenities for loyal Accor member. No smiles. I attach my membership. And I am waiting for a feedback. If the amount will not be refunded by 04.09.20 - I am going to waste my time and go to the court.
