  Bastante corriente

  En mi viaje por Sudafrica he visitado distintos hoteles y lodges y tengo que decir, que este ha sido el más corriente. Solo estuve una noche pero me pareció de lo más ramplón. Nada que destacar ni de la habitación ni del desayuno. Eso sí, el tema de la seguridad se lo toman en serio: dos llaves para acceder a la habitación ( puerta y reja) y mando a distancia para la puerta de entrada al hotel.

  Good quality for the money!

  Good hosts, breakfast was good. It was at walking distance of the centre of stellenbosch in a very quiet environment. We really enjoyed our trip at Rivierbos Only note is that the swimmingpool is a bit small

  Lovely friendly guest house in Stellenbosch

  Ideal location, within short walking distance of midtown and restaurants. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great value for money. Breakfast was lovely, there was a great variety. Pool and relaxing area were lovely.

  Best location for price and amazing breakfast selection!

  Rivierbos is situated directly off the main road in Stellenbosch, it is essentially the best location for its price. You can walk anywhere you need to (everything is literally a stones throw away). The accommodation is pretty much exactly like the photo's, very much a "what you see is what you get". That being said, the rooms were smaller than I imagined and similarly with the bathroom. You are provided with soap and shampoo and a showercap Breakfast is a wonderful arrangement of various foods, from fresh fruit to fresh farm bread, cooked breakfast (bacon, eggs, tomato, sausage, mushrooms), pastries, jams, and a small selection of ham and cheeses. The breakfast was quite honestly the best part of the stay. I felt like this could be streamlined, as the first morning despite there only being 3 tables it took forever for us to be asked if we wanted a cooked breakfast (and eventually we just ate some croissants and went about our day). The second day was much better with the (Owner? Manager? Running between the guests and the kitchen giving the guests orders to the kitchen) Rooms are situated right next to each other and noise can be a problem. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are going to be staying in your room a lot (although why would you when there's a million things to do in Stellies) Three disappointing aspects were that our room looked directly onto the washing line outside, so there was a noise factor no matter what (other guests plus the laundry), as a result we also had to keep our curtains closed permanently so no one could see us / see into our room. Secondly, and a little odd, but we were only provided with one roll of toilet paper (which would have been sufficient) had my partner not had a stomach bug and the front office closed at 9pm so we just had to do without. And lastly there were renovations being taken place in the room next to us at 7:30am in the morning, which is just ridiculous. Not just renovations but anglegrinding and banging. This 100% ruined my mornings (breakfast did make up for it) but I just can't fathom why renovations would be done, in peak season (or placing guests next to that room), and so early in the morning. Breakfast finished at 10 and check out was 11am (Check ins at 2) there was absolutely no reason why they couldn't have started at 9am or after. Other than the above, it was amazing accommodation and perfect for our 2 night stay. It was clean, affordable, perfect location and best breakfast of my life

  Lovely staff and nice breakfast but nothing to write home about

  Our stay was fine but nothing special. We were a couple with our 5 month old - they accommodated us by providing a travel cot for the baby, but the room was very small so we hardly had room to move about once the cot was in there. We discovered that the smoke detectors had no batteries in them and it took the staff 2 days to replace them. The pool is very small and not regularly cleaned. The breakfast is lovely and the staff were friendly and very sweet with our baby.
