    Excelente hotel.

    Were we the guinea pigs?

So where do we start? I was going to split this between the positive aspects and the negative but thought as I sit in our room with a flooded balcony along with three engineers trying to get the TV to work I thought that would set the theme. We arrived late evening, two coach loads of us, so you can imagine check in was busy. So, a member of staff suggested we go to the restaurant for our evening meal as it was about to close shortly. This was a good idea, allows us all to eat/drink then leisurely check in afterwards. The hotel is on a big complex with several buildings. Our room was facing the the sea and very spacious. It was raining on the evening we got here and woke up to a flooded balcony. We advised reception but nothing seemed to be done and slowly over the course of the day the water subsided. A couple of nights later it rained again and we woke up to a flooded balcony. We advised reception again, along with mentioning the TV (for the third time). Since typing this there are now five engineers trying to sort the TV and balcony. It seems pretty apparent that the drain from the balcony is blocked, which theyre trying to rectify. There are obviously still teething problems and not just with our room as there are other leaks around the hotel. Anyway, back to reviewing the hotel, the hotel is situated right on the sea front, there is constant security presence around the the perimeter fence with security on the front and rear gates. It seems hard to believe in some instances that this is a brand new complex only opened two months prior to our arrival. There are small block pavers that form the paths between the different building. There are areas where these are uneven, which whilst being there for a few days became obvious that the unevenness from due to the traffic driving around, probably the staff/contractors. We even saw one driver hit one of the small/low level lights, so seems like they might not have much longevity. When you walk into the lobby/reception area there is certainly a wow factor, very nicely decorated with lots of large ornaments, flowers and lights. There is a fantastic view over the pools and out towards the sea. There are a couple of restaurants that are used in the main, one for breakfast and evening meals and the other for meals throughout the day in between. The food is plentiful, a wide selection and very tasty. Not wanting to constantly come across negative but unfortunately, the food has rarely hot, in the main warm. Now, lets be positive, there is a lot of staff, all hard working and polite, only the odd one coming across a bit miserable or negative. Nearly all staff greet you as you walk by. Immediately outside of the complex there really isnt a great deal to see, a mainly derelict area or new hotels being constructed. Taghazout village is about 10-15 minutes walk up the coast. From what we saw mainly surf shops and pizzerias. Dont get us wrong, when you walk through the main entrance, walk past the reception on the right with its fancy silver and petrol blue tiles, walk towards the glass façade, look over the palm tree clad pools and over towards the Atlantic this is an impressive hotel. However, our TV would not show British programmes until we had asked three times for it to be looked at. Our balcony floods rendering it useless, not to mention the patio door that wouldnt shut there is a yang for every ying. We are positive about our stay, there are still teething problems, that is pretty evident but you cant help but be brought to the positives, a good atmosphere even when its pouring down with rain. A few observations: Only one robe No glass in fire doors so you open doors onto people No signs on doors for stairs, some have signs on the wall Stray dogs. Although never a problem Smell of drains Plug not constituently going down correctly Air conditioning didnt seem to work Unfortunately, whilst we were there it was cold and raining. As it has been nearly twelve months since our visit perhaps some of the above have been rectified? Weve had a very busy year and only just had the chance to publish our review.

    Amazing Christmas and Amazing Food!

I went here for Christmas with my family, I enjoyed it so much! On Christmas eve we ate food, they made it so pretty and made the food so special. Some great memories there. They have a beautiful pool and a pretty beach, food is on point. I recommend going here. It's amazing!
