  A great place to stay in Ahmedabad

  This hotel was great. Near to the railwaystation (so convenient for travel, and taxi drivers could be easily directed) it was immediately welcoming, with staff going out of their way to help. Rooms were appealing and comfortable, with good bathrooms and showers that worked as showers should. The front desk was always ready to help, giving advice and booking taxis etc and the laundery service was first-rate, as was room service. All the staff - and I really must emphasise this - all the staff, from the manager to the cleaners were eager to show us the best of attention. In particular, Darshan and his team in the restaurant, as well as providing excellent food, were top- notch in the service they gave. Nothing was too much trouble for them - they were fabulous. We visited a lot of hotels on our travels in Gujarat, but this was clearly one of the best. I would reccomend it to you; we look forward to staying there again.

  Horrible smell, poor customer service, not recommended

  My overall experience with Sarovar hotels in general so far is good. However Sarovar Portico at station road in ahemdabad is one strong exception. There was a strong smell in the room as soon as we checked in and entered. What was worse is the horrible attitude of the reception staff. When we talked to them to complain, they rudely said that hotel is all booked and they can't do anything. They did acknowledge the smell and said they can spray a freshner, but then the strong smell of freshner coupled with this stinking smell would have made it worse, so we refused. Our issue is equally of rude attitude of the staff as well as the smell. One definately do not expect this kind of quality and poor service from a brand like Sarovar. So guys when visiting Ahmedabad, I would suggest every one to stay away from this hotel.

  Good Hotel value for money

  Nice hotel very good location, the best part is veg restaurant helpfull staff specially Farhin at front desk nearest to the railway station, good service and facilities. Value for money as per the services and amanities

  I regularly visited the hotels in all the cities this is the best hotel for me in Ahmedabad best part is nearest location from the market things are easily available, pure veg food, value for money very curious staff

  Great food and service ..

  Its a great place to eat and enjoy, its has a great dishes for eating and very tasty and i would recommend the place for eating out and it has good service also. There is one restaurant "CELEBRATION" it's fully. vegetarian I would like to say special thanks to Mr Shivam for providing us great hospitality. Thanks team sarover portico kalupur Ahmedabad. We will visit soon .
