A quiet visitWe stayed a couple of nights to explore the area en-route from North Germany to France. When I looked for accommodation in the more touristy towns in the area everywhere was fully booked and the reviews of hotels in other places weren't inspiring. The Ringhotel Talleyman website was in the German language but I recognised spa and wellness which gave me a slightly false idea of what the hotel would be like and they had rooms so i booked. The hotel is easy to find by road, just a short distance from the main road on the edge of the town. The hotel is spacious, with very wide corridors, and was very quiet when we stayed, in fact we saw very little of the other residents. Our room was on the first floor at the back, clean, spacious with easy chairs and a table, and a balcony that overlooked the attractive grounds. Wifi is available. The bathroom and shower is large and I particularly liked the bathroom mirror with a built in magnifier. One member of reception staff spoke English and all staff were unobtrusively helpful. We quickly realised that the hotel was not the sort of spa hotel advertised in the UK but attached to a hospital, the list of medial services available and instructions to go to the hospital to be let in if we returned late in the evening gave it away. Visitors can use the shared pool and some other facilities, though we didn't, and there is a bar and restaurant. Cars are parked in the hospital car park close by in reserved parking spaces. Breakfast is served in a pleasant room overlooking the gardens and has a range of breads, meats and the usual good quality German breakfast buffet. The first evening, in search of a restaurant, we walked for about 10 mins into the town to a small shopping area. It was very quiet but we found a pizza place. Continuing our walk we reached recently refurbished pleasure gardens with a wide boulevard (an airstrip, one local joked) where people were taking an evening stroll, and a number of curative spas. The following night we drove into the busier part of town farther down the hill (a bit far to walk) to visit a popular Greek owned restaurant and found a bit more life. Bad Nenndorf is very quiet, it's main attraction being various sorts of curative treatments and spas but the council is trying to encourage more visitors. We fell into conversation with a few townsfolk and found them very welcoming. When I decide to have some treatment for my damaged joints, or need to hole up for a week to get a book finished then this would be a good place to come.

DifferentA health clinic with extra hotel rooms. Quite expensive. Booked 2 rooms, 2 nights. Rooms modest size. Pool looked more like a therapy area. Restaurant did offer a nice breakfast. Only a handful of parking spaces. Not much within walking distance. Safe, quiet.

A little remote but goodRecently stayed here for 7-nights on a business trip. Staff were excellent, spoke good English and were always available. Rooms were practical, bed was a little low down for me, but may suit others. Bathroom was clean...everything you would hope/expect. Food at breakfast and in the evening was surprisingly good given the number they were catering for. One slight moan, the bar was a little unpredictable with regard to when it was open/closed, which is only a minor complaint as there are alternatives close by. Would have expected free Wifi which was disappointing given the demand for it nowadays.

Wedding weekendWe chose the hotel for us and our guests for our wedding weekend in May. We made the reservation directly with the hotel and they made it very easy and convenient for us to book a group. Communication was always very thorough and fast, no issues/problems whatsoever. Very friendly. During our stay the service was outstanding and very very helpful. We had some extra/special requests which were taken care of immediately. The rooms very good sized and breakfast was tasty with a good variety. All in all we (as well as our guests) had a really nice stay and can only recommend! Even dogs are allowed for a small fee which facilitated traveling for some of our guests significantly. On top of that they even contacted us after our stay as one of our guests had forgotten some small item. A big thank you to the whole team!!! You were a big help in making our wedding weekend a great success for us and our guests.

Acceptable placeI call acceptable because I have to consider that I paid less than 70 . I will make a review in a nushell: Positive: good wifi ,breakfast and in my room there was the balcony Negative: all the furnitures (bathroom included) seem to be old ('80)
