  Close to the beach

  We stayed here for the first time in August in a double-room whilst friends of ours had the apartments next door. Rooms are large and very comfortable, however there is a lot of noise if you're facing the car park. There is a large bathroom and separate toilet in the room, all are slightly dated and could do with a refresh since the tiles, grout and rubber seals around the sink are all fairly dirty due to age. There is an excellent buffet breakfast downstairs but also easy options locally if you're willing to walk a little. Position of the hotel is ideal if you intend of spending time at the beach.

  A very nice hotel

  We styed in the hotel for one night. The hotel is very nice. It's located in a park, and almost on the beach. The personnel was very helpful and friendly. We could keep the room one hour longer. Would have had it for longer, but the room was booked for the next stay. We had a "tower" room and did not regret it - the room is large, it faces the park (and not the parking place) - so very quiet. The bathroom is large, and there is a separate toilet in the room, all are slightly dated and could do with a refresh. The breakfast buffet is good, with local products. We desided to have dinner at the hotel - nice service, good food. Would definitely stay there again.

  20 years out of date but clean / neat

  One of those hotels that may have been fabulous at some stage - well kept but feels like the decor the service and facilities need an upgrade. A simple example is there is information on how to order cigarettes from reception but nothing on wifi in the directory. Location is good and the pool was great for the kids with loads of buttons that activated different features.

  Really lovely interior and nice staff

  We spent a weekend at this resort. The interior was very nice and the room pleasantly spacy. The eveningbuffet was very disappointing though - all fish and only one type of chicken and meat. For the price - not good! Morningbuffet was OK! Also no signs or directions in english on the hotel. The spa was very confusing to navigate in. With that said the staff was very nice and helpful, and we did have a pleasant stay. But i will not be likely to visit again!

  Doesnt live up to its reputation

  Although the rooms are spacious, they are not particularly comfortable or nicely decorated (although they were clean). The beds in particular were unbecoming of a 4 star hotel: small pillows and blankets and a thin, uncomfortable mattress were more in line with a youth hostel. Like most of Hohwacht, this hotel had its heyday at some point in the 70s/80s but has absolutely failed to keep up with the times, despite their confident claims and high prices.
