  This is my favorite stop whenever I visit the region. It's nothing fancy or super luxurious, (it's rather classic) but the place just exhales "calmness, quietness, peace & quality". It's like home. The surrounding area just makes you feel healthy as soon as you step out of the car and inhale the fresh air. For all replacements you need transportation (a bike from the hotel maybe?) because there is nothing within walking distance of the hotel. (For a spa hotel that is a positive thing.) The spa area is great: large, clean, well-maintained, good opening hours... The bar with the fireplace is super cosy in winter time and the terrace outside is great for sunny times. The place is run like a family business (maybe it is?) which gives it that extra quality assurance.

  Very good hotel great location

  Clean, friendly, Breakfast food was excellent. very tasty. Charming hotel with forest walks all around. The rooms were clean. We highly recommend this lovely hotel and restaurant!! We were there two nights and we enjoyed it very much.

  Excellent place to stay!

  The general manager came to greet us at our arrival and also at our departure. That was very kind. The room was also excellent including a really nice bath. It was very nice to use the swimming pool and the bubble bath. We asked if there was an airco on the room, but there wasn't. Ofcourse we could check this before during the booking proces, but we forgot. They where so nice to put a fan at our room to make it a bit more comfortable, which was very kind as well. The breakfast was also very good. I can really advice to stay over here.

  / Super hotel

  Its just great! Nothing to add, really. Everything is top-notch friendly staff, great restaurant with fresh, ample and diverse breakfasts and superb dinners. Good beer. Nice surroundings. The rooms are sort of old-school, but very clean and neat, so this is in no way a disadvantage on the contrary, this complements this hotels welcoming environment that really helps you downshift a bit and get some rest on your long trip. Cant wait to drop by.

  Very pleasant overnight stay

  We stayed at the Ringhotel Koehler Forsthaus for one night while traveling through the Netherlands and northern Germany. The hotel was set in a quiet area across from a small forest with many walking trails. Upon arrival, we enjoyed the free parking and had an easy check in. The woman at the front desk showed us to the room, and we quickly settled in. We decided to visit the wellness area and enjoyed the whirlpool and sauna before dinner. The wellness area was very nice and not very crowded. We had a late dinner in the restaurant. The pub area was busy, but the only available tables were in the larger dining room, which was rather empty for a Thursday night. We were greeting and had very nice service, and we enjoyed our meals. We both started with the horseradish soup, which was very tasty. I had a sauteed fish dish (which had a huge portion!) and my partner had a salad with small brown shrimp, which he very much enjoyed. We shared a piece of cake, but unfortunately found it to be very dry and crumbly. The coffee and everything else was very good, though! The next morning, we took a hike through the paths in the wooded area across from the hotel, which was very enjoyable and a nice bonus for our stay! After that, we walked the hotel grounds a bit (there are some black swans in a pond you can look at), and then packed up. We barely made it in time for breakfast before it closed, so quickly ate before checking out. The breakfast was good and there was a large variety of dishes to try. The check out process was easy and we were quickly on our way. Overall, great stay and definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through this area.
