  German Country Style Hotel

  We wanted to visit German friends in Meldorf so found the Ringhotel Bokel-Muele on the Internet as being in the same area. Our first problem was finding the hotel as Bokel was not shown on our German maps and would not come up in our Sat Nav. However asking several people we found the hotel in a very isolated position. Internet photo was decieving as the hotel appears to be on lake which is close by but the hotel does not look out onto the lake. Hotel is situated in pretty countryside but is a long way from shops, restaurants etc. Room was old and in need of updating with no air conditioning. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were freindly and once we got used to being in the country atmosphere we quite enjoyed our stay. We were the only guests at the hotel and it seemed the hotel's main purpose was Conferences and a restaurant for locals. Next time we would choose somewhere less isolated.

  Champagne dream ....... A perfect break

  Superb food, a beautiful room (more like a small suite; room 37) and lovely service. A great place to chill out, tour the area by bike or stroll the lanes and paths. We had the 2 night "Champagne Dream" rate, including an excellent (REALLY excellent!) 4 course meal each night. The staff and owners could not have been keener to please and make our visit perfect. You could use this as a base for a day in Hamburg, or to visit the lovely area between here and Denmark, including Lubeck.

  Nice hotel with great food

  Nice hotel Very clean rooms Nice rooms Nice breakfast And great dinner at night Definitely value for money Very nice staff which make you really feel welcome at the hotel. Located near a nice little lake. Perfect.

  Great location on the countryside, close to city.

  Nice hotel with a great location at the lakeside. Rooms are OK but maybe a bit outdated. The beds are not that good seen from my side, but that is mater of needs and opinion. The staff is friendly and they have a limited knowledge of English, but it is sufficient. This was my second stay and I'll come back again.

  Dinner and a night in the hotel

  We had a family dinner in the restaurant and took the decision to stay a night in the hotel as well. The restaurant visit was good as well as the quality of food - however in my view the food could be sold a bit higher as currently done. Service was at all times very polite, but delivery of drinks was relatively slow. The hotel rooms (double room) are from the size totally ok, but cant be compared to any hotel in a bigger town who is rated as a 3 star hotel. The rooms are from the interior point of view kept in beech tree decor and in our room it seemed like that the last upgrade of the bed and cabinets happened a while ago as both had some ditches - although the floor recently have been renewed.
