  Underwhelming. Expensive.

  Look, it's a lovely old building with great photos on the wall and a great atmosphere. If that floats your boat then that's great. I'll admit that I do like these things, but I do also expect a certain level of comfort particularly bearing in mind the prices they charge. And that's where Riehmers falls down, badly. I booked a single room. I shouldn't have because it was really small... The room was long and narrow and my first impression was that they had just placed a halfway down a corridor and called it a room. The single bed (what hotels have single beds anymore!?) was very small, the mattress was very thin (although surprisingly comfortable, but perhaps that's because my expectations upon seeing it weren't very high). Really not worth the money I paid for it. The receptionists, whilst friendly, are not very efficient. The one that checked me in exhibited mild panic throughout, like it was her first day (I'm really not that panic-inducing, to most people anyway), and the one that checked me out took ages to print out my bill. All in all, I won't be staying there again. It's not like it's cheap and they really need to up their game.

  Not good to work due to Wi-Fi connection

  Pros: - Look; - Location; - Big bathroom; Cons: - Uncomfortable bed; - Bad temperature isolation (old building); - Horrible Wi-Fi connection in all areas of hotel; - Room needs more cleaning (floor); Not recommended for a business trip.

  Solid 3.5 star hotel. Good location, nice building

  This hotel is set in a beautiful historic structure. It is on a popular street which has cafes and supermarkets around. The hotel itself is on a quieter part of the street. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are a bit low but comfortable. The pillows are just okay. BEWARE THEIR INTERNET SYSTEM it's horrible. Requires you to put a voucher code for each device and you have to keep putting the code over and over again. A major time waster and let-down.

  Lovely building, great breakfast, good location

  I am surprised by the negative comments in other reviews, as we liked everything about this hotel - so much better than a big chain hotel. However, we were glad to have a "comfort room" which was spacious, quiet and stylish (though a bit dark) - friends had street-facing rooms which were very noisy. Yes, the beds are rather low, but comfortable with nice bedding. The breakfast was excellent, a really good choice of fresh food. Staff were friendly and helpful, spoke very good English. Would recommend this hotel.

  Nice but to expensive

  We spend one night at Riehmers Hofgarten during a weekend trip to Berlin. Although the Hotel is nice, clean and staff was very friendly, in my opinion it was way to expensive. Rooms had a very basic setup and seem to have seen better times. Overall, not the best what you could get in Berlin at this price range.
