  Great Quiet Place

  My husband , his daughter and I stayed at Richview for 10 days. The surroundings, the rooms, everything was nice and clean. We had the 2 bedroom apartment with kitchenette. The bedrooms was spotless and had their own bathrooms. TV's in each room- the only thing for us was that the location was out of the way, would recommend a car for sure. Grocery stores, and the like are couple of minutes drive away. There is a black sand beach, a short walking distance from the Guesthouse. The owner Micheal was accommodating and helpful with the rental of a car and any additional kitchenware that we needed. All in all, the stay was great and we would recommend.

  Secluded and dishonest amenity services

  I booked this hotel through Expedia. At first glance, Rich View looks like a beautiful setting on top of a hill overlooking Kingstown. However, after further investigation the hotel is actually situated 30 - 40 minutes walk outside of town. Expedia states that they offer a free shuttle ride from the airport but that is also not true. Rich View also does not have a direct contact number or link to their website on Expedia or Trip Advisor. Further to finding out this information I contacted the international number provided only to be put through to a voicemail service. After further searching I came across their website with a telephone no. I spoke to Micheal who confirmed they did not provide a shuttle service and was not located in close proximity to town. I explained to him I was a lone woman traveler specifically in Saint Vincent to do genealogy research and it was important that I had daily access and be in close proximity to town. He was unable to accommodate. I have lost $677.60 due to this booking and just want to make sure that nobody else gets ripped off as the information being provided by Expedia and Rich View is dishonest.

  The perfect get away experience.

  I will recommend this hotel to anyone. I was indeed pleased with the customer service and the amenities offered. The management was very welcoming and was always ready to provided additional services as required.

  Not suitable for international travelers

  Readers, I can tell you I have traveled around the world, with St. Vincent being my 95th country visited. My experience at the Rich View was ghastly. Bear with me as I explain. This place in on a lonely road with no amenities nearby. Our cab driver told us not to go out at night and that this is "not the place for you." The fare was 90 EC, 100 with tip. We arrived at 7:30 PM to find the outside gate bolted from the inside. After some effort, and with the cabbie watching over our bags, we were able to open the gate. Next, there was no one at the desk and the doors were locked After some knocking and standing around, a guy showed up. I said "I thought you were closed." He said, "I saw you." Then why not welcome your guests? Apparently we were the only guests. We booked a room with a balcony. Instead, we were taken down a narrow, winding staircase with no hand rail (not fun with a suitcase) to a room lit with only one dim bulb; room number 07. No balcony and no views. The room smelled of mold and chemicals. The bedding, while clean, was so thin it was nearly transparent. The bath mat, while clean, had multiple, large holes. The air conditioning barely worked. The furniture was mismatched. No coffee/tee maker. There was a large (but dead) roach on the bathroom floor, also lit by one dim bulb. There was an odd contraption on the shower head, perhaps to warm water. It did not work leaving a cold shower to start the day as the only recourse. I had to request a room key since none was given. 07 had no interior chain lock, therefore no security. There was no WiFi. Kelly did fix a nice breakfast. And yes, from the breakfast patio, the views were great. To hotel management, I have photos of everything mentioned above. I'm happy to publish them all should you dispute anything I have said. Probably not in your best interest but this is certainly up to you.

  Peaceful , Quiet Getaway!

  went there some years back for my honeymoon , what i remember the most of the place was the serenity .. very relaxing .. food was good as well. nice view..you have to call a taxi if u need to go to the town.. short walk to the beach down the hill which was not all good . but if you are looking for a place to rest and sleep all day .. this is it
