  Don't Go There

  Upon leaving, my nephew asked for a glass of Coca Cola. The bartender, who barely had any work to do and was cleaning glasses most of the time to show business, responded: 'you'll have to wait for 5-10 minutes, boy'. At which point, my nephew responded that we're about to leave any time now. But the bartender insisted he had to wait 5-10 minutes. Why do you deny a glass of Cola, to a kid??? Absurd in terms of customer service. The food was awful - very little choice, barely any local food, not even local tea. Soup made of pouder. No warm milk for your cornflakes or coffee in the morning. Dry bread and bakery - apparently a couple of days old. The only positive points are - clean rooms and friendly cleaning staff and staff at the reception and one lady in the restaurant, and the location. But that could hardly make up for all the negatives given the price we paid.

  DO NOT GO there!!!!

  The food was TERRIBLE!!! There wasn't even warm milk at breakfast. No variety in any of the meals. The price does not match the services offered. The furnishings were old, the mattresses - awful. Dont spend your money here! Not worth it!!!

  Fraud attempt by staff

  My family and I used the spa services of the hotel. Despite the fact that the receptionist took forever to take our payment, we finally paid for the pool, sauna and steam room. On arrival at the spa very quickly we realised the steam room was not ready and to the conditions to be used. As a result we requested a refund from reception. That resulted in a long argument from the staff, to our shocking! We just wanted refund from the charge for the steam room. We were amazed that the hotel refused to give us our money back, requesting that we come back next day. Eventually we got our money back. The horror continued when my partner was out and about Chepelare and the same receptionist followed him in a random cafe, demanding he pays her the refund money back or she will call the police, while asking where we were staying. Of course he refused and left the cafe. This is the definition of blackmail, giving threats and harassing holidaymakers on the street! We advice honestly and with just feelings that this woman is suspended from her duties as a receptionist and the staff of Rodopski Dom briefed on better client interaction policies.

  Disappointed. Don't recommend this place

  This hotel doesn't correspond to a 4* hotel in any way. It is clean but room furniture are not new neither in such good condition. The tv is so old and the quality is bad. The food is the thing that mostly surprised me. Food is alwful. It is not homemade although Rhodopi area could offer great food quality. It is not diverse, I can hardly find anything to eat for breakfast and dinner and I regret booking it with food included. The pool is small. There is a Sauna and Steam room but they are in the basement and their quality does not correspond to the stars of the hotel. I write bad reviews really really very rare. And I feel sad to write it but I am really disappointed. The only good thing I can mention is the Mechi chal ski place and the beautiful nature.

  Amazing and clean family hotel for everyone

  Hotel "Rodopian home" have clean rooms fast service. They have beautiful view to mountain. Have a lot of clients too. Chepelare is my favourite city. And I visit all the hotels in city. This hotel is very good.
