    Decent one night stay.

Stayed here on the way home from our Europe driving holiday. After a poor stay in a hotel in bacherach two years ago, we were a bit worried, but this was not anything like that place. We had decent rooms with a balcony, and while the bathroom was a bit ourdated, all was well. Only issue was my friend who is small and round could not fit into the shower door. Road was noisy and of course there is a railway line running day and night with noisy freight trains, but with the windows closed, nothing was heard. I used to spa and found it to be very good. Decent sauna and steam room, and while the pool was small, there were little buttons that turned it into a mini spa!!!. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection. Only gripe, no hot chocolate. Parking was 6 euros a night and for us it was a cast of parking in the town car park, though it was just 20 meters away. The river front was a 5 min walk away with decent places to eat and drink, and it was nice placed for an evening walk. Ok, there may me hotels with better views of the river, but with the railway line being between them and the river, I dread to think of the noise. So this hotel being a little set back, was a good compromise. Would stay again.

    Comfortable and clean

We were lucky to find a clean and comfy room here as the hotel we had booked was very disappointing. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and check I and out eere very efficient. we would certainly use this hotel again and it was very close to all bars and restaurants.

Decent hotel with nice spa area

We stayed at the Hotel for three nights on a group trip through the Rhine valley. It is fairly close to the absolute center of the town, walking distance, and close to a grocery shop too. It is however right on the main road through Rudesheim, which is very trafficked even at night. It was very warm when we stayed there, and with no a/c or other ventilation(not even a fan) we had to sleep with the balcony door open. We had ear plugs, otherwise it would've been impossible to sleep. The room had a good size, with a double bed, large wardrobe and a nice and clean bathroom, white tiles and a window so it was very bright. Sadly, we felt a strong smell of mold in the room, might've been under the very thick carpet on the floor. This was quite disturbing, but we kept the balcony door open as much as possible. Another downside was the Internet. We're used with easy access to wifi in Swedish hotels, so the procedure here felt unnecesarily complicated. You had to ask for a paper with id and password at the reception desk(which was not even manned properly), for which you had to sign, and then you had to fill in the data almost every time you used your phone to go online. The signal was also extremely bad in our room, so we ended up not using the Internet much at all. The Continental breakfast buffé was quite standard for German hotels and quite nice. We loved the spa area, which we sadly only tried once, but the pool and saunas felt very fresh and modern. The balcony was also very nice, you can sit there in the evening, drink wine and watch the cars, motorcycles and trains passing by.

    First class family run business

We use this hotel every December for the German Xmas markets it's location for the Rudesheim town is ideal literally five minutes and you are in the town. The hotel is exceptionally clean with an efficient reception area, there is a good bar with reasonable priced beers, wines & spirits with a relaxed atmosphere. The dining area is roomy nicely decorated and spotless, the food is home cooked and as of yet have never had any problems with quality and service, they cater for special dietary requirements too. There is a pool, steam room and sauna which are always available. The rooms are very clean and tidy with ample storage and facilities, tea and coffee making facilities are included as with hairdryer in the bathrooms. We have used this hotel for over 7 years now and the owners really do make it a place to remember and want to return.

Christmas Market visit - good value hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights in early December on a bed, breakfast and evening meal basis. Our trip was to visit the Christmas Markets in Ruedesheim and Frankfurt a short (40 minute) drive away. Our room was on the ground floor and was clean and tidy with crisp bedding and fluffy white towels. The bathroom was small but the shower was good. Facilities as expected for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast buffet was good with a selection of bread, cereal, juices, fruits both fresh and tinned, croissants, Danish pastries, scrambled or boiled eggs, ham, cheese, smoked salmon etc. Set us up for the day very nicely. Evening meal was set with no other options if not to your taste but was OK. If we returned we would opt for B&B as there were many nice looking restaurants nearby. The hotel has a pool and sauna which is great. The staff we encountered were all very nice especially the Irish lady on reception and Angelina in the restaurant. This hotel is ideally located as it's a few minutes walk to the banks of the Rhine where you can board one of the many trips boats and also the famous Drosselgasse shopping street with its many restaurants and bars. Although our room was at grund level we had no issues with noise at all during our stay. We had a balcony but due to the time of year did not use this. Would be great in the summer months though. Value for money with a great location. We would certainly return.
