  Great Location

  Stayed here with a coach party. Hotel and rooms were spotless and comfortable. Food was good and well presented. Location, right on the banks of the Rhine was superb, with the ferry jetties just a stones throw away The only minus point was the rail line that was just a street away at the rear, with the noise of the trains all day and night. You soon got used to it. The Hotel has no bar but drinks are served outside or in dining room. There are several bars in the town just a short walk away behind the hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

  Wonderful stay

  We had a wonderful stay at this hotel which was in an amazing location. The dinner was really good and the breakfast had a very big choice of good food. The only thing we did not like was the pillows. They were big contintental ones that were too soft for us. Not that it was a real problem. The shower was very powerful and the room was lovely and clean.

  A nice break after business in Frankfurt

  We have used this family run hotel several times over the years. Ideally situated near the railway station, overlooking the Rhine and within minutes of the KD boat service. Really good for hiking in the vineyards above Assmannhausen or exploring the other parts of the Rheingau by train or boat. English (and other languages) were widely spoken, the owner and his staff were always friendly and helpful. Throughout our stay we had excellent service. On departure day we had to leave before breakfast, and without requesting it a breakfast platter was delivered to our room the night before..a very nice thought that you do not see from larger hotels! There was a varied menu and the food was good and well presented. Breakfast provided a wide selection of local and other produce. The rooms were scrupulously clean with a (very) powerful shower. I would recommend the rooms overlooking the Rhine with extensive views of the river and the surrounding area. In all, a good hotel to which we will certainly be returning next year.

  Look no further!

  My wife found Rheinhotel Lamm while looking for great places to stay near Rudesheim. I did a quick TA lookup and the reviews were solid. After staying here for two nights, the reviews didnt liethis place rocks! It sits right on the Rhein River with ready access to hiking trails, chair lifts, monuments, vineyards, boat trips and great restaurants. Our hotel room was very nice as well. We had a 4th-floor, balcony room overlooking the Rhein and castles, which was super special. It had a large bed, sitting area chairs, mini fridge and a decent size bathroom. We ate at the hotel restaurant multiple times and we found the food to be delicious with outstanding service (thanks Oliver!). To cap it off, the hotel had dedicated (free!) parking, and I was actually able to put my car in an attached garage! The final piece is the hotel is within 2-3 minutes of the Assmanhausen train station, so you can quickly get to transportation. All in all, we had an incredible stay at Rheinhotel Lamm. We highly recommend it and, frankly, you should look no further for a place on the Rhein. Wed definitely come back!

  heerlijk uitzicht

  We had an excellent beer on the terrace of this restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. Many reasons to come back. The terrace in all along the quite street with a nice view on the river Rhein.
