One night in DoncasterStayed for one night at the Restover Lodge in Doncaster after a night with friends in Doncaster. This very reasonably priced Lodge is a fifteen - twenty minute walk from Doncaster railway station. Clean and warm, would stay again if solo in Doncaster.

Restorer Lodge DoncasterIt is a BUDGET hotel on an industrial estate just outside Doncaster. Rooms are clean but quite basic rather like putting basic Ikea furniture into a shoebox. All floors are hard laminate so you can hear everyone walking past your room at all hours. In the room we had the windows wold not close properly so you could hear traffic noise and feel the cold. The only source of heating was a small convector heater on the wall which didn't work properly so the room was quite cold. Staff were quite friendly. Most of the guests were contractors and in the downstairs conservatory there seemed to be 2 or 3 eastern European young men loitering. Not sure if they were guests or not. We have stayed in far better hotels like the Danum for not much more money but in the circumstances it was all we could get as we had to visit the inlaws in an emergency.

Take spare bedding1st room we was given 114 the window never closed properly so never locked .. room was real nice and hot but bedding was on the heater as tht close.. we was then moved rooms as told no 1 to help up we was put in 122 and we walked in dif layout heater was further away from bed, windows locked but was like walking into a walk in freezer omg, we had steam coming from mouths, the lovely guy from reception had to come and check it out he sed it shud be okai and looked like heater was ok, mm 5 mins later it went off, we actually slept in our clothes with our nightwear on too, the bedding felt wet/damp from the cold, nothing worse than sleeping on a damp feeling pillow, the mirror i couldnt see in been 5ft it was higher, the floors looked like they were dirty, the bathroom window had a 2ins plain gap around the private screen so ppl from the outside could see in, yes we paid £20 each for the night but we expected to be able to sleep in an at least warm enviroment, 2 staff we saw was lovely. Cheap and cheerful but icebox ..
