4 night stay with familyWe are 2 adults and 2 children travelling as part of a large group. We stayed 4 nights. Our room (229) was a suite with a seperate living room, bedroom, toilet and shower room. The room was fantastic with breathtaking views across the wine yard and village beyond. Breakfast was great and adequate for us all, with cereal, eggs, ham, cheese and fresh bread. Orange juice and coffee provided. Its a family run hotel and we felt welcomed. Our children had a great time in the outdoor areas. If staying in the area again wed definitely choose this hotel. Despite no air conditioning and nearly 30 degree temperatures, we were never too hot as with windows and shutters open, there was a pleasant breeze.

Not a welcome stay due to a nasty ownerMy hiking/walking group stayed there for one night. We were a group of 17 people. The next day, part two of our group (about another 16 people) also stayed there. Everything in the hotel was good except the gentleman who owns it. He simply should not be in the hospitality business because he was pretty rude to both of our groups. Mind you we are not a group of some young kids so we didnt understand why he was so nasty to us. I highly recommend NOT staying there.

Great stayThe owners and staff are very friendly. Nice quiet atmosphere, good service and the restaurant has a very nice menu, great food. And of course they serve very nice wine! Room was spacious, clean and well taken care of. Area is nice, on the edge of a small village and between the wineries. All in all recommendable!

A very nice and cosy family hotelOriginally we booked only two nights in Le Kastelberg but we were that pleased with our stay that we booked one extra night. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has 28 rooms on three floors and is very cosy. A detail we liked very much was the nice smell throughout the hotel. For young kids, there is a small garden with some toys to keep them busy. One evening we made use of the three course dinner formula, and we were very pleased with both quality and quantity. We will go back to this hotel when we will visit this region again.

A good middle class hotelThe Kastelberg hotel where located along the wine road in Alsace and a good place to stay at if you want to visit Alsace. The hotel was good and everything worked out well. The room are okay for a shorter stay. The breakfast wasn't much to write about, nothing extra but a decent meal..
