  Needs Attention

  The room was cleanish, however it looked like the room hadn't been rented for months & they forgot to check it before we got there. The bath had mould around & soap scum. They had to go & get us towels when we arrived because they were forgotten, there was black hair & pink cotton on the floor. 2 days out of the 3 we were there there was a wad of toilet paper in the loo each time it was cleaned. There was hair in the bed two types that had come off the throw pillows. Stains on the carpet. The lace curtains didn't reach the floor there was a gap of 200ml so people could see into the room from car park. The room was not made up on the Sat, when we questioned it they said "I suppose you want some towels". The white towels had cream/yellow stains on them 2 out of 3 nights.They never gave us a floor mat & hand towels only on one day.Heater was very loud. Bed side tables & lamps were very dusty. The staff hardly talked to us, they seemed to be deep in conversation &more interested in talking to family members & other staff. Also known as the Blue Mountains Hotel

  Welcoming nice Motel with nice rooms

  The online booking was easy and fast and check-in when I arrived at the motel was pleasant and informal, and all about this comfortable motel is welcoming and simple with great breakfasts, This older style motel was bought by Kevin and his wife who are doing many renovations and make guests feel like family. There about 30 rooms and a full 'hotel' style dining room and bar. The room I had, No.2, had toiletries, microwave, kettle and toaster, table and chairs and a king size double bed with many pillows, and even a small balcony! As it was winter when I visited the room was chilly, but heating is provided by a wall mounted 2Kw heater, and my only tip is to switch it on fully when arriving and leave it on for the stay. I bought my bed sox and hotwater bottle with me, and I was very cosy! Ticking the 'breakfast' box on the booking form, I thought would mean the usual weetbix and packet orange juice, but no; each day of my 2 day stay I was provided with a really huge full cooked breakfast of 3 sausages, fried eggs, mountain of bacon, beans and friend potato cakes! Wow! so good that I did not need lunch, and a real day starter. And I could also have had weetbix! The view out over the mountains is really good from the dining room, and its windows are double glazed so the highway below the window is just a low rumble noise. The free wifi was really fast signal strength was good in room two. I felt welcome as Kevin's other name should be Mr Have-a-Chat, which I heartily enjoyed. About the only suggestion I have is that the poly-cotton sheets were a bit icky, compared to full cotton, and the heater in the room might be a more powerful model, and perhaps, since heat rises, placed lower. Overall; a nice quiet low key hotel with great views, meals and rooms. There are nice quiet safe short walks outside the motel in case you need to walk off your meals or relax before sleep, as the motel is on a cut-off appendix of the earlier highway and the houses around are fully treed and classy. You can find the motel easily on Google earth if you enter the coordinates lat -33.718756 lon 150.383305 Another way to force your navigator to discover the motel is to put in 'Buena Vista Av' and 'old bathurst road' 'wentworth falls'. Or phone the motel and they will advise directions.

  Booking happen to be during major Blue Mountains Bushfires - owners refused to refund or change dates, organised through booking.com the conversation occurred through this company and the owners where asked if during this time they would consider a refund or change of date but it was flat refused. Travelling with someone who had respiratory issues we couldn't risk getting stuck in the bush fires or ingesting smoke.

  Clean rooms

  Stayed one night at Rest Easy on my way to looking after grandchildren. This Motel is a bit tired in its look but I cant fault the room for the cleanliness. The bed was very hard but still slept well despite being close to the Great Western Hwy. choose a room at the back if you want a quieter sleep. My room had no soap or tea bags but new owner Kevin went out of his way to rectify. The Wifi was hopeless. Shower over bath.

  Rest Easy Blue Mountains Wentworth Falls

  This hotel is Very good value for money, our room had a lovely view as well, clean and surprisingly modern room, would recommend to anyone looking for a nice friendly place to stay in the mountains, do the local walks.
